I'm getting the message that the PSN service is under maintenance. Can't search the store or access my account info. Oh well guess I'll play some Diablo.
@b4x: What a bunch of losers. Take down PSN, its incredibly easy apparently. Live is pretty massive, I doubt they'll be able to do it. Especially since they warned their operations staff, they probably planned ahead to counteract it.
I've been playing off and on yesterday without a lick of issues with the online. I know people report issues with XBL for whatever reason, like slow download speeds and slow installs, turns out that's all caused by having shitty crawl internet speeds.
I could get on PSN on the PS4 but not the Vita. Xbox Live was ok too. I couldn't really check apps and stuff since I had to hit the road to see some family.
Let's stop this xbox vs playstation stuff for one day and take out our anger on those damn hackers. Even if one person can't play their new console because of hackers today, that is one too many.
I have never wished death upon any soul, and never will. With that being said, I do hope that whenever "karma" catches these Lizard Squad fools, they get what's due to them without any mercy.

You've been known to bash the PS4 in the past. That's why your post came off as "fanboyish" to me, especially seeing as this DDoS job isn't exclusive to the PSN, yet you blatantly singled out the PS4 about this issue. I don't find solace in anyone suffering, but this is indeed evidence to what I've been stating the whole entire time: XBL security is definitely more stable than the PSN, but it's not impervious to cyber attacks.
Those assholes. Both live and psn is down for me and I can't even play my trial of ff 14. This has made me lose even more respect of my Xbox one.On Xbox one I can't even play Halo mcc because I can't sign into my profile. On ps4 I can play games offline and the "profile" is tied to the system and psn is separate from it, if you get what I mean.

It's not about "my precious machine", it's about solely singling out PSN when both services are down. I know that you claim to only have a PS4, but you don't have to look far on the net to see that BOTH services are victimized to the attack. I never said that you're not allowed to bash said console, but do remember that what you do ALWAYS have some kind of consequences later on down the line, good or bad. Blatant bashing of said console even though that's the only console you own tends to make others think that the console isn't your preferred console of choice, especially when you don't bash the X1 as much.
PSN for PS4 down for me. Tried to play a few PVZ matches without any luck. I can see how this is really a big downer for people that love mp games.
So now, I am playing TEW, so far great game. Love me some good survival horror.

I've been on all weekend and today as far as PSN goes. Working on platinum for Unity with no issues. And the OP will rest easy knowing that I own both PS4 and X1 and can speak honestly and open about both.

What I don't get is why they're not better prepared for these attacks? It's happened several times already so it seems like both Sony and Microsoft are sitting around with their thumbs up their asses.

No chance to get online today, but I saw news about the attacks. Feel bad for all the gamers unable to play what they want, and I hope the little punks responsible get caught.
Oh, and anytime someone tries to pass off the idea of an always online console to you as harmless, I hope everyone remembers how easy it still is for a few people to bring these networks down.

If they had less money, they might try a little harder to have decent services. As it is, they have toilet lickers who defend their every questionable action, so there's no incentive to care if their services are shit. Who cares? They're already paying and will continue to pay no matter what. *laughs all the way to the bank*
