"Bu bu but muh Black Friday sales based on a survey consisting of 1,500 purchases" - Xdrones everywhere
Wow 2 million plus in under 1/2 a month the wii u is dead and the x1 has a huge fight on it's hands.
Good job Sony. And it's only been out for around 2 weeks. That 5 million sales by March is looking very possible, especially if you account for the after holidays sales.
Supply vs. Demand. The epic battle continues.
Sony's biggest competitor? Getting the PS4 on the shelves. The machine still isn't done releasing, Japan release is in Feb 2014.
I'm not into sales myself, but the beginning phases are a bit fascinating just knowing a machine isn't going to get phased out like the poor Dreamcast. Once the machine is a success (The first 5-10 million are the crucial parts), I just ride out the wave of games with little worry.

This doesn't change whether that is true or not. I think it's pretty safe to say the Xbox One outsold the PS4 in North America, but maybe not by quite so huge a margin. There's just no way a survey company could have a 100%+ margin of error in their data and still be in business. The cow reaction to that survey has been hilarious. I'm looking forward to seeing when the official numbers come out.

Wait.. are you talking about the entire november?
Because the PS4 sold 300-350k more during it's launch week, i doubt the xbox one would have caught back up

Yeah, they made up a 300-250,000 difference in a week.
Xdrones gonna drone. ^_^

So around 1.3m for north america?
"Tokyo, December 3, 2013 – Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCEI) today announced that cumulative sell through for the PlayStation®4 (PS4™) computer entertainment system worldwide has surpassed 2.1 million units*1 as of December 1, 2013. The number includes the 700,000 units sold through in Europe and Australasia launching on November 29. The PS4 system became available on November 15 in the United States and Canada and on November 29 in Europe, Australasia and Latin America and is now available in 32 countries globally.
EA must be crying themselves to sleep, they are always betting on the wrong horse. Last gen they bet everything on the PS3 at launch and now on the XB1. They are like the kiss of death. XD
Although they now have a great looking game to offer to the losing console, even though it's a multiplat.

Bu bu but 31% of 1,500 receipts will make all the difference.

Good for AMD and Sony...
Off topic, but why is it Americans write the date as month/day/year? Why does this make any sense?
It's because of how "we" say it aloud. "December 1st, 2013" (hence 12/1/13) rolls off the tongue (subjectively) better than "The 1st of December, 2013" (1/12/13).

Hahaha. I'm glad one person enjoyed. :)
That's actually less than I was expecting for this point, Sony must not be keeping up with the demand too well.
I remember reading or hearing that they can produce 1 million a month. Apparently that isn't enough.
Here are the other territories it still hasn't launched in yet:
December 13th (Czech, Hungary, Slovakia, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Turkey)
2014: (Iceland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Ukraine)
Oh and Japan in February 2014.
EA must be crying themselves to sleep, they are always betting on the wrong horse. Last gen they bet everything on the PS3 at launch and now on the XB1. They are like the kiss of death. XD

Microsoft : hey ea here take it 1 billion dollar you don't worry about sales anymore we pay at front
ea : cool here take titanfall and pvz garden warfare
Truly amazing!
now the question is will Sony be able to make more systems to satisfy demand? they need to make more systems to prevent people from buying an xbox one or wiiU as an alternative
that gif is hilarious. people ran right by the mountain of xbones and didn't notice it was there. they probably thought it's either a portable refrigerator or a retro looking desktop pc.
PS4's major competitor-Itself
Sony has to meet demand and if they do that they have won this gen. 2.1mill in 2 weeks and the console has yet to be released in Japan and it's not eeven xmas.
5mill by March is being modest.
Off topic, but why is it Americans write the date as month/day/year? Why does this make any sense?
If I recall, in the UK you say the date like "11th of September" or the "23rd of November" and that's why the 23 would become before the November (11)
Americans would say "September 11th" or "November 23rd". That's why American's write "9/11" or "11/23". Americans write what they say.
In the west you see the legal documents historically would read something like "...The 9th day of December in the year of our Lord 1988."
Exempli gratia, the 7th article of the US constitution ends:
"...done in Convention by the Unanimous Consent of the States present the Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven and of the Independance of the United States of America..."
When shortened, the it seems United States lawyers decided to put the month first, and generations later never think about.
We are hundreds of years later, so I don't think there is a right way, but I can go between both systems as I've had too.

And it looks like Sony is attacking 360 strong holds the most and it's working.

Yeah MS will pay 1 billion for 2 new unproven games..hahaha
MS: Here EA 100 million don't worry you have see how the 360 won,it will be the same next gen we will beat sony and multiplatform will continue to sell better on our console.
EA: Are you sure MS.?
MS: Yeah sony can't barely compete any more they had to sell their buildings to pay for the PS4 hahaha.
EA: Ok then here take this 2 games poor sony..
PS4 launches on US 1 million consoles sold in 24 hours,PS4 launch 2 weeks latter on US units sky rocket to 2.1 millions,BF4 PS4 badly outsell the xbox one version,Need For Speed badly outsell the xbox one version..
Meanwhile Inside EA.
EA: FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU*********** As soon as the contract allows it i want those to games on PS4,and don't any one dare to say sequel for the games will be only on xbox one..
hahaha

Not only is this hilarious because of don mattrick and the people running but also they ignored the Xbone and ran for the ps4 LOL.
Donny boy no happy. lol.
I like the boxes above the crowd that seem to be crowd surfing like at a rock show.
I was expecting more, didn't cows say it will sell 1 million in Europe alone? Xbox sells more than a million with just 13 countries and PS4 was launching at more countries.
Its easy math i dont know what your complaining about.. xbox came out in 13 countries and sold 1 million while PS4 came out in around the same number of countries and did over 2.1million.
PS4 still hasnt come out in Asia yet and it will be this month December 15th
PS4 already the fastest selling console in gaming history and xbox one is not even close to what the ps4 did.

They would have they only shipped 700,000 and all are gone, they are bringing in new shipments already sony say.
The xbox one got like 300K for EU the PS4 got 700k more than double and all sold out.
In US 1 millon + were sold on 24 hours, and since launch 1.4 million when MS hasn't even reach a million units in US yet.
