They used TWO Radeon 7970 graphics cards for the PC.

Just how insane is that? Let me count the ways. For starters, thats well over $700 worth of graphic cards. The PSU you need to run two 7970s? Around $200. I'll just stop there, but you see how rediculous that is.

The fair way to do the comparison would be to use a popular, affordable graphics card. Like a Geforce 660 or 560 Ti and a simple AMD quad core processor @ 3.0ghz. You know, something an average pc gamer probably has.

But nooooo. Loser hermits have to stroke their ego by making the comparision with impossibly expensive hardware almost nobody has. After they trashed the PS4 for months theres no way they can possibly let it look just as good if not better then the PC version.

I'm really fed up with Hermits and their buyer remorse. They pay 6x the money of console players to run Crysis at 50 fps. and 1080p. Because they just realized their epic fail they want to bash and trash cows and lemmings and sheep.

PC gaming is dead outside of steam. At Walmart they've had the same games for sale there for the last 3 years. The same old crap. If you get into PC gaming you have no choice but to bow down to steam. You cant choose sony, nintendo, or microsoft like console fans do.

PC gaming is one of the biggest frauds there is. The rediculous PS4 vs Xbox One vs PC comparison proves it.

$400 console + $250 online + $10+per game

= about $1250 PC.

$500 console + $300 online + $10+per game

= about $1400 PC.

That is without upgrading (new rig) and without sales and with only 1 game per month in a generation that would last only 5 years.

If this generation is another 8 years instead of 5 and you would look for sales and get $15 per game off compared to the console versions, you are looking at

$400 + $400 + $1440 = a $2240 PC (without screen)

$500 + $480 + $1440 = a $2420 PC (without screen)

You can fit two fantastic GPU's in a $1600 PC, and with a good chance of it being cheaper than a PS4 or Xone.

Console gaming is freaking expensive and does not deliver. The gigantic overhead of these companies has made consoles a bad investment compared to a PC. Consoles R Done.

Console you can rent, borrow, lend, resale. Your posting= debunk. Also, console game do not having sale or deal? Why can find GTA5 with deep discount soon after release? Playstation plus giving game every month. PC gaming much more cost at start, and across generation. Sorry to deal this fact.

when people argue price (consolites more so than Hermits) I just laugh. News flash guys. Gaming is an expensive hobby. When it's all said and done you are paying just much to game on console as you are to game on PC. Trust me M$ and Sony are gonna squeeze your wallet too. 50 to 60 for a second controller. More cash for headset. Paying to play online. Paying on average $10 extra for games. Over the course of that consoles life you are paying just as much as the PC guy who just payed his money upfront. So can we kill the price arguments. Gaming is an expensive hobby, period. As the saying goes you gotta pay to play.

I would like to see single GPU comparisons too. They'd still spank next gen consoles because they can all do 1080p no sweat and are designed to go even higher in resolution. But it would be nice to see how single GPU set ups compare vs nextgen consoles. Never was a fan of crossfire/sli. Just give me one beastly workhorse GPU to last 3 to 4 years when I get itch for more performance.

It will cost those PC gamers less than $200 to get a 7850. If they really wanted to "break the bank" they could spend $300 on a 7970. You will have to spend $400 to get a PS4. Seems like ownage to me.

1. What makes you think a single 7970 wont offer better visuals than a ps4 ( the gap between the 2 is quite big )

2. You will be surprised how much it takes to build a pc with an i5 cpu and a good 650-700w psu and 2 79xx series gpu from Amd

3. If pc gaming is only steam explain me greenmangaming,gamersgate,gog,origins,getgames and blizzards online service ( hell now every other big publisher puts out a DD service like Ubisoft with uplay )

4. An affordable Gpu is a 7950 ($250 ) a card that hit 2,87tflops (compare this to ps4's combined cpu gpu 1,84tflops you troll )

5.Relax and take a reality pill. A $700-800 pc is better in graphics than Ps4

6. Ps4 is really good for what it is. An affordable $400 console with great graphics but again face it it wont match a good gaming pc

Console companies love to keep you in their eco-systems. They decide whether you can use mp3s, external hard drives, etc. Over here in PC camp I just alt-tab out, click on a music file(MPC) and then go back into the game.

Well then we have a no BC for DOS era. But if there are no issues...then why do you need an emulator? When I talk BC I mean pop a disk in and go. Which I think you will admit isn't going to happen with all the old disks.

I also don't know how this got sidetracked because I didn't initially say PC don't play older games. Some do have issues....which I found out when I got my new PC. It actually worked on my old PC. And none of the work arounds helped me. Which sucks. I suppose I could dig my old tower out and connect up to it to play the game.

But anyway.....not counting the PC....more consoles are not BC than are.

Not entirely true.....Windows tries to be compatible with recent OS' but not every OS since computers started. Windows will soon stop worrying about XP in the not so distant future. Which is why they are telling people to upgrade as they won't be supporting it after spring.

Anyway my initial response still stands. Not all old PC games will play under new operating systems. And backward compatibility is rare because few consoles made use of it. Nintendo only has the last couple generations. Sony did it between 1 and 2 and for a short period with 3. MS had an emulator I believe for select games. Sega had an add on for the MS games on the Genesis. And I believe the Atari 5200 had someway to play 2600 games. But if you look at all the consoles created...that is a small number. And the dudes I originally quoted were arguing about X1 and PS4 not being BC.

And as for your last comment...what the hell do you think I'm using to type this? I doubt you ever heard of the game....but it's Shannara after a book series I like.

With my Tahiti LE, I get a solid 45fps in BF4 using all Ultra settings @ 1080p. When the AMD Mantle version comes out in December, I'll be getting 60fps at 1080p on all Ultra settings, with a $140 videocard...

PS4 gets 60.
