Let's clarify this about the PC once and for all

I cannot believe I have to actually do this, but apparently, there is actually some confusion about this on System Wars. But the PC is one system. It doesn't matter what OS it is running, it is still the same damn system. A Mac is a PC. A Linux is a PC. Just like your iPhone and Android are both smartphones.

Just to lay it down once and for all, so there is no confusion:

• Wii U is a separate system
• PS4 is a separate system
• Xbox One is a separate system
• PC (including Windows, Mac, and Linux) is one system for SW purposes. As a matter of fact, the official nomenclature also makes all computers 'PCs' they just happen to be running different OSs. They're all PCs, just as a phone running iOS or Android is still a smartphone.
• And before this crops up:
  • There is a PlayStation 'ecosystem' This is not 'one system' this is two (or more) separate systems that work in conjunction together.
  • There is an Xbox 'ecosystem' This is not 'one system' this is two (or more) separate systems that work in conjunction together.
  • There is a Nintendo 'ecosystem' This is not 'one system' this is two (or more) separate systems that work in conjunction together.

Okay, I see some of you want to go through this rigmarole again, so I'm going to shut it down right here right now.

For the purposes of System Wars (and in the real world too, if you actually use your head and think about it), the PC is one consolidated system. The PC being one consolidated system does not make all three consoles one consolidated system. This is overall the most asinine argument of all time.

There will be no debate here. This thread is being locked. This is not up for debate, and if this definition doesn't fit with whatever definition you had in mind for each system, well, I'm so sorry then, but that's how we do it on System Wars, and you'll just learn to have to deal with it. That, or you are free to find a forum more suited to your conception of what a system is or isn't.

It's hilarious, because I remember this with the Starcraft 2 posts. Mac had to come in and declare the game as exclusive.

Seems kind of cheating to include hundreds of different form factors against a single console.

On topic: Why not use something like Playstation inclusive to indicate it stays in the family rather than specify exemptions each and every time we make note of a special case?

And sure, you can use the term PlayStation exclusive, and it even has some real world weight and value in terms of determining a purchase. If I am picking between Xbox One and PS4, the fact that LittleBigPlanet 3 is on PS3 too (or that Forza Horizon 2 is on Xbox 360 too) will hardly make me discount those games from consideration if they were a factor in my purchase.

That said, for the purposes of the metagame, an exclusive is a game that is available on one system and one system only. So while 'PlayStation exclusive' or 'Nintendo exclusive' or so on may even have some meaning in the real world, on System Wars, it is an irrelevant concept.

She's the canon pairing (don't see spoilers unless you are past August i.e. in September in Persona 4).

Yu Narukami->Rise

Yosuke->Chie

Kanji->Naoto

Teddie->Yukiko

Although I guess they're trying to change that with the Golden anime, where Marie is replacing Rise as the canonical pairing.
