I was wrong....Twilight Princess is the BEST Zelda game ever!

The wii is my first nintendo console and TP is my first Zelda. It completely blew me away. When I downloaded OOT I was expecting a much better game. It recieves so much praise and it was a disappointment to me. TP demolishes OOT imo. I'm guessing people say OOT is better because they played it first and have nostalgia for it, plus TP is very similar to it so people may not like it because they played a not so different game before. burgeg

Yeh I cant think what i would have thought of OoT if i played TP before hand.

my opinion it's like this

oot>tp>mm>ww

Midna > any other Zelda character in history

The production values > any other Zelda gamein history

Sword techniques in TP > any other Zelda game in history. Jumpstrike kicks butt.

Wiimote aiming with bow and clawshot --- more fun than any other Zelda game in history

Arbiter's Grounds boss --- probably the most fun boss to fight in any Zelda game ever

Minibosses in every dungeon --- can't say all other Zelda games had that

Hyrule Field music during day > any other Zelda game in history

Darkest Zelda game since Majora's Mask. That is a good thing

Double clawshot --- sure it is a Spiderman type ripoff, but it is fun as hell to use

Cityin the Sky--- one of the best temples in Zelda gaming history

Ooccoos --- interesting new characters in Zelda

Twilight Princess storyline > any other Zelda game in history

It was never a question of which game is better for me. TP is a better game. There is no doubt in my mind about that.

HOWEVER, I still believe OoT was a better game RELATIVE to what had been out before it, and what was out at that time. OoT was a revolution. TP (as is EVERY other A/A game that has come out since) is an OoT clone. A very, very good OoT clone.
