Edit, a Polyphony Digital employee leaked the digital numbers on the PD website, it has since been taken down, at the time it was 2 million + for the digital copies of GTsport sold.

So as of now GTSPORT is sitting at 5.3 million copies since launching in october.

If that's the actual number, it's not that great really when you consider the size of the PS4 install base and a lack of decent racing games on it compared to the competition... and people had been waiting a fair while for a GT game on PS4.

Not bad for half a year.

Gtsport may be around 5.2 million total, if so that is ridiculous considering it came out in october.

GT Sport has better physics and driving than Flopza 7 not mention an actual pit crew lol. The only part it suiffers from is lack of campaign at launch which has been fixed with patches now.

I think the Forza Motorsport games get overrated a bit just so game journalists can let Xbox gamers feel like they have something. Not that I even buy them anymore, but racing games can be done so much better.

I agree. I don't even think lems themselves believe the gaming media anymore with their overrating and that's probably why it flopped hard in sales.

PD took some huge risks with GT Sport and even though they ended up suffering from lack of cars and modes at launch I think they ended up with a far superior racing sim. They copied iracing on PC and ended up with the best online mode on consoles. Racing online in GT Sport is so superior to racing in FM7 it's not even funny. GT Sports physics are also way better and more realistic. I don't know what they did with FM7's physics but they fucked it up IMO. Plays more like an arcade racer than a sim.

You can even see it in Inside Sim Racing's review of FM7, they can't stop complaining about the shitty AI and weird physics when reviewing the game....

I have to say i agree with the reviews about these two franchises, i support forza and GT, have had all GT's like iv'e had all forzas.

But forza motorsport really fell off. Horizon is an entirely different animal.

Gt has superior physics, visuals, a much more complex and ground breaking livery studio, more realistic audio, online experince is not even comparable.. with a real ranking and driver class system.....i'm thoroughly impressed.

One thing i give to forza 7 is the abundance of cars and tracks. However gt has already added 55 free cars with another 400 on the way..

And i won't even mention forza 7's online experience...just no, stay far away from it wether it be RC or hoppers.

I love the two series dearly, but Turn 10 completely dropped the ball on 7.

Forza motorsport went from being a logical argument destroyer to being a meme generator. Just sad.

Microsoft had to ban the Honda Odyssey from online play because it was winning all the races.

Turn 10 must be too busy on the next Forza to do a patch. Granted, that would show that the physics in the game are made up guesses of how that Honda should drive.

I honestly see them completely killing off forza motorsports and just continuing the highly sucessful horizon series.
