Way too much damage control in here.
I'm surprised.
3.3 mil is store only, does not include digital.
Ya'll make zero sense.
@xhawk27
267 now, ....news about forza is coming, okay? and okay what does that have to do with this thread?
I own forza... 1-7, xbox insider is irrelevant to this thread, stop damage controling.
lol gotta love the "user base" narrative lemmings and even some PC guys pull out ONLY when a PS4 EXCLUSIVE sells in the millions.
It's funny because we know ALL Xbox games are now shared between the user base of xbox one (30 mil) and PC (200 mil) since 2015 but we NEVER see either group claim games on PC or xbox are flops for not selling based on the "user base" metrics.
Like, what is the formula we're supposed to actually be using here lems?
This argument is literally ONLY ever used when PS4 is the topic of the conversation. Quantum Break was PC&xbox day 1...it Released April 5 2016, it literally had the entire month and 3 years of hype behind it...

So...what happened to "da user base" narrative lems/herms? Why didn't this sell 100million?
Ratchet N Clank and MLB The Show aren't even a major Sony releases and Quantum Break had been hyped since the beginning of the generation all the way back to 2013.
Then QB fell off the map after that low charting it's first month, so much for that "user base" argument lems.

I think it's because you guys make such a big deal about how many PS4 have been sold and how important exclusives are. They you see that a premium title like GT only manages to convert 5 million sales out of 70 million + users. It doesn't look that great.

And yet Forza 7 is available on a billion PCs including 30 million Xbones and can't even break 1 million. Keep reaching....
The install base damage control you clowns keep using isn't working, and makes you look very desperate especially when you consider your games are available on 2 platforms while PS4 games are only available on one platform, and they still can't keep up.

NO!
Just stop the stupid damage control.
No "cows make a big deal" nonsense justifies this selective and idiotic argument you lemmings ONLY use for PS4 games.
Last gen LEMMINGS bragged about a lead over PS3 like it was no tomorrow with a full year head start over Sony and claimed PS3...HAS NO GAMES! Because Xbox one had like 2 or 3 AAA exclusives at the time and PS3 was just launching.
Where was the user base argument then?
You make you argument look even more desperate by pointing out things you guys were happily doing when you were in the same position Sony fans are in now. Only difference is Sony fans didn't make up idiotic arguments about user base to dismiss sales of 360 games because...that's a idiotic argument to begin with.
The fact that you are coming in trying to defend this with stupid excuses is rather telling of your mentality.

Why doesn't it change anything you clown? You're being a hypocrite. The install base for F7 is far higher than that of GT Sport and on top of that F7 is higher rated on MC. Why does it matter for GT Sport but suddenly doesn't matter for Flopza 7? You don't see the hypocrisy? Your damage control is pathetic and you should be ashamed of yourself for being so desperate.

And yet MS is opening up new studios as we speak for the sole purpose of creating exclusives and angry lems are attacking Phil on Twitter with pitchforks and demanding more exclusives. If exclusives don't matter like you say Phil and MS wouldn't bother with them and Xbone wouldn't be getting its ass handed to it by the PS4 and Switch. The only console without exclusives happens to be the console doing the worst right now in sales.

What formula should you be using here exactly? What's the ratio we should see?
You're just coming out of your ass with random nonsense saying *blah blah blah, make any dumb excuse* "not good" because I said so.
Like I said before LEMMINGS are the ones who came up with the meme...
Remember this?
So, kill the excuses about Sony fans making exclusives out to be important because MS has shit this gen. You lemming are the first ones to condemn exclusives if they aren't AAA.
Xbox fangirls who made memes like the one above is why Sony fans have no chill on you xbox boys with exclusives this gen. There is no difference except the shoe is on the other foot and you're crying fowl and making up idiotic arguments in the process.
Again..what is the formula we should be using to come up with "not good" conclusion with your user base argument?

Nah, it doesn't say anything. That's just bullshit you're making up on the go. A game is either selling well or it's not. Userbase doesn't mean anything. We weren't doing this user base bullshit damage control last gen and we won't start it now. You lems are pathetic creatures
What is "selling well proportionately" even mean? GTA Vice City sold 9.6 million on the PS2, that's on a user base of 155 million. By your wack ass logic it was an irrelevant game. Are you even listening to yourself?

How do you remember that far back when you only joined in December?
In any case, I just find it surprising that a game like GT which has been a staple sony franchise for 20 years only managed to sell to 5 million when there a 70 million customers. What are they actually buying and playing?
That being said I expect Spider-Man to be a massive seller for Sony.
It's not really an argument, it's more of an observation. Exclusives don't really matter that much.
For Xbox? I guess not!
That's why it's numbers have almost been at a complete stand still for the last 3 years.
They've released shit for exclusives and relied almost entirely on multiplats and here is the result.
Both consoles were released within a month of each other and now
PS4 80 mil >>>>>>>>>>>> Xbone 30mil
Sony releasing 95 God of War and MS releasing 68 Sea of Tears in 2018

The game's only been out for a little over 6 months. Your user base damage control is weak as ****. No game no matter how good will appeal to every person that owns a system especially in a niche genre like racing games. Your Xbone games flop harder than pancakes despite being available on 2 platforms and I don't see you clowns using this excuse. Has Gears 4 even hit 5 million? How long has that been out? Isn't that one of the biggest franchises Xbox has, and it's even on 2 platforms? You clowns use these ridiculous standards when it comes to PS4 games that you don't apply to your own games. I guess it's your way of admitting Xbox games are mediocre but it only makes y'all look sad.

Yea because Knack, Infamous, and the Order where the only exclusive games PS4 had over 5 years, and PS4 increased its lead by 50 million during its first year on the market lol.

1. I've been gaming since Atari 2600 cut the bullshit deflection
2. Your argument is idiotic because there are NO games that EVER sell based on user base numbers alone.
This is where I feel stupid for having to point out something so obvious for anyone with a brain, but I'll do you for you since you genuinely seem clueless.
This may be a shock to you, brace yourself.....different people like different games!!!
boycie:"wow mind blown"
But wait there's more...
Some people only like certain types of games and others genre only bring casual interest.
boycie:"mind blown again, you mean not everyone likes the same type of game either? That's a revaluation to me"
I know crazy huh?
Here's one last thing before I go...if a system has a diverse library of games, they actually have a choice to play different types of games and they aren't all forced to play ONE game because they have other high quality options.
boycie:"That's unbelievable dude"
The more you know huh? Nice chatting with cha, later

I'd bet that GTAV has been responsible for more PS4 sales than all the exclusives combined.
You can't make that bet. You can only say how many copies it sold but you can't say how many PS4s it was responsible for selling since you can't ask every PS4 owner why they bought a PS4. The game is available on PS4, PC, and the Xbone. I doubt it's the sole reason PS4's lead is 50 million ahead of Xbone's. Before you use "but teh superior multiplats" excuse I'll have you know that most causal gamers don't give a shit about that and they don't watch DF videos on YT. If superior multiplats was a thing the Xbone wouldn't be losing every month in NPD since the X launched.

You also bet on Xbox One to be the better console for this generation...lol we all see how that worked out!

I like how we are saying "Not bad for 6 months" on a system that is at 80 million... and these are suppose to be the amazing exclusives that are absolutely the most important things in the world according to cows on this forum.
3 Million 3 years ago would of been impressive, now its just "yea less and less of the audience is interested in these games" but hey ho.
PD released numbers on GT Sport 6 months after release. The numbers are decent, but not as impressive as previous releases.
Turn 10 and MS has a history of touting Forza sales numbers. For some reason, though, we got nothing from them for Forza 7. So we've got no numbers for Xbox One sales and now no numbers for one of their flagship titles Forza 7. What does that tell you?
Also note that Forza 7 was sold on Xbox One AND Windows 10, a platform that ron claims is dominating China! Forza should be dwarfing GT Sport right now by that logic.
Only lems can turn PS4's massive lead into a weakness and Xbox One's terrible sales figures into a strength.
30 million Bones and about 200 billion PCs.
I'm referring to the quality of the games. Not sales.
But I forgot that to Quack, a flop only means a game didn't sell well. So if a game gets 100% on Metacritic but doesn't sell a bazillion copies, it's a flop.
GT Sport has better physics and driving than Flopza 7 not mention an actual pit crew lol.
Nope, you don't even win the quality argument either.
Lmao... yeah, all the review scores are wrong. Forget to take your pills this morning? Lol.
They both scored the same on this website, cry harder lem.
GT Sport is the better sim no matter how much you get butthurt over it.
GT SPort is the better Sim if you're trying to Duplicate Bumper Car Physics but if you're trying to duplicate actual Cars than Forza is better.

Those "review scores" were from the launch build. The game has evolved since. It finally got what was lacking at the start: A campaign and more single player focused modes. Also, despite having way less content on launch when compared to Forza 7, it still scored the same as Forza 7 on Gamespot: an 8
"bu bu GS is cowspot" XD
Personaly I'm enjoying the hell out of Project Cars 2. It has the most realistic physics in any console simulator. POINT. Forza or GT are nothing compared to it in that regard. Unfortunately it has some other major flaws that bring it down

A real a driver in GT Sport
And an idiot that for 10 years, hasn't won a WRC event in Forza 7.

I think it would be much easy to just check the forum on the site TC has linked.

It's clear GT is the most popular game

Usually the more messages means people are asking a lot of questions and having all kind of trouble with the game not how popular the game is. Looks like people have less problems with Forza games!
I would have preferred another Motorstorm game myself. And the more I see of OnRush the more I am convinced it will be a poor substitute. Maybe Sony might remaster the old games with another studio, I could only hope.
It's 3.3M overall, not only stores; your own link demonstrates that. Which is pretty good, but not so great for this particular series and as your own link states they still have a ways to go to catch up to GT6 which is the worst in the main series at 5.2M.
So congrats, cause any game selling 3M units is good. But this series is slowly dying and this change of course for the series would appear to have lost a significant portion of the casual mass market.
@rrjim1: Sure, could be that.
But it could also be that people talk about the events and race meet ups and settings and other stuff.
It's also important to note that GT sport was being talked about since 2015 when it was revealed.
@Ant_17: please for the love of god tell me you did not use website statistics as an argument...
When the website is called GTPlanet...
I'm so done...
Edit: title change because people can't read.
