GSC is closed, STALKER 2 cancelled

Halo is a run-of-the-mill shoddy console shooter. (yeah, its on PC too)

Stalker is combining BF3 and Skyrim, on some level, and that is epic.

This is the worst day in gaming news in years. STALKER is easly one of my favorite series of all time. I have really no words right now. Im shocked. Im sure I feel the same way as a lot of other fans of this series. I guess all I can say now is thanks for the gaming memories. Killfox

The FPS genre is pretty much dead to me, now. Half Life is the only FPS left I really care about.

Halo is on PC too and hardly anyone baught or are really that interested in playing those games. S.TA.L.K.E.R on the other hand is a favorite for PC gamers so that says a lot about the different standards PC gamers have. Personally i think STALKER is a more mature game series and PC gamers tend to be the more mature audience.

The two games arent even similar in any way apart from them being first person shooters. One has a typical run and gun gameplay with a "feelgood, save the world" type story that you would expect from any western game of this day and age while the other has a more carefull, stealthy, realism and scary RPG type gameplay with a completely different, sinister, dark and atmospheric storyline where the end depends on the choices you made throughout the game.
