Everything's getting leaked before E3 ....it's not that much excited anymore.

Still, hope he's right.

It was kinda like this last year, though. It makes me wonder if all the publishers get together and share their announcements a couple of weeks before E3 so that everyone who expects to get slayed by a big announcement can get their hype train out early.

Like. If there's a Crash Bandicoot announcement or Half Life 3 level bombshell, you'd actually be glad you heard about the XII remake early.

I just want to see a huge announcement and someone just drops the mic and walk off stage.

I really liked square-enix FFXV event thing where they did crap like that made it funny I hope e3 is like that.

Only thing is....they announce things we won't see for YEARS. Shenmue 3 was exciting but...how far away is that thing from being playable? With delays up the yin yang it's hard to really get excited.

We'll see

I agree, E3 nowadays doesn't have the same feel as it did in the pass just because everything is leaked ahead of time. Still waiting to see what is actually true though.

The things that have leaked are things that wouldn't get a ton of show time anyway, so it's fine with me. This has happened in the past. Geoff has me pumped and I'm happy I have the week off to catch up on games I haven't finished while watching Press Conferences. This week can't be over fast enough!

Can't wait to see CGI trailers of games that won't come out until 2022.

Sony is ready to drop more bombs.

Help me to understand. I've seen people say this before and I can't comprehend the logic. We know these games take years to make. It's not the 90's or early 00's anymore. It hasn't for some time. Even when people are willing to put this unspoken "Release Timing King" crown to one or another platform, they still get cancelled games and lost-to-multiplat announcements within this arbitrary window.

In the meantime, I don't know about you, but I don't buy my gaming machines to be spoon-fed releases one year at a time. I want to know what's coming to my systems. I want to know developers are continuing my favorite franchises. I want to be hyped for new stories and new worlds. Most of all, I don't want to look at ANY of my machines and have to think to myself "MAYBE next year will be better."

Please, help me to understand. Is this just sour grapes over games that went to development hell? Did we buy into some faction's feather in their cap and not think as to what their motivations were in doing so? Am I just too damn patient?

I kind of doubt this will be a great E3. He just wants more views for his coverage.

I doubt it.

Huge bomb! All three companies, ms, sony, nintendo, are merging and making one super console that has all exclusives, and is the most powerful console ever, even putting the latest PCs to shame. So powerful that 5 years from now PC will just be catching up. But no games for this console. That's the trade off. Drops mic, exit stage left.

The VAST majority of things that occur at E3 has no effect on your current gaming experience. So, you are not missing anything but "news"

Hmm... my hype level for this E3 has gone from a 3/10 to a 5/10.

His more interesting tweet to me was bringing "generations together" for this event. Here's hoping reboots, remasters or sequels to long dead franchises get announced.

Hoping for Shenmue HD Collection and a Dino Crisis reboot.

My lack of preparation is due to previous stinky E3 conferences.

Half Life 3 confirmed!!! Seriously though, I think it's Beyond Good and Evil 2's release date or Prey 2's rebirth.

I don't remember FF 7 Remake, Shenmue 3 and TLG being leaked last year.

Or Xbox 360 backwards compatibility on XB1.

Honestly, this whole Pre-E3 has been pretty surprising to me. Seems obvious that Kojima will be showing his new game and I was expecting a lot more of his fans to be hyping this E3 for that alone.

They'll be announcing and showing games scheduled for 2017-2019. Of course there's gonna be a ton of good games but we won't see them for years...

Hmm now that the FF7 remake Shenmue 3 have already been announced.. I no longer have anything to by excited about..

E3 has been pretty lame overall since 2013.

And now that most games get leaked before the shows, there is little reason to even watch the press conferences.

OT I'm not hyped at all for this years E3. I can't get hyped for hardware they should have got right in the first place, and a bunch of sizzle reel clips of games that won't come out until 2018 at the earliest. Or hearing about how Sony or MS got exclusive deals with publishers so that their buggy DLC lands on their DLC Fest machines first. How is that exciting?

I betcha all these megatons will be in Sony's conference again. Expect FF VII Remake gameplay + release date for PS4, FF XII The Zodiac Age trailer, Final Fantasy XV unseen gameplay + new summon, Shenmue 3 gameplay, new Crash Bandicoot, The Last of Us 2 announcement, The Last Guarding, Kojima's new game, PSNeo reveal and all that good stuff. Sony's gonna destroy M$ BIG TIME!

Yeaaaaaah I'm not biting. This industry does a wonderful job stirring up hype it can't quite live up to.

$ony needs a good show. They are failing badly, so hopefully this will brighten things up.
