$ony needs a good show. They are failing badly, so hopefully this will brighten things up.
Your gift for hyperbole is positively electrifying!
Isn't Keighley more of an Xbox guy? Maybe he knows what MS have been cooking. Anyway, I always love this time of the year, E3 and Comic-Con, I'm always excited to see the new games and tech that comes out of E3! Too bad I can't check out the games and gadgets on show floor this year, so hopefully these game companies bring at least some digital goodies to us via online market place. Kinda on topic of getting E3 freebies, Rocket League will be free to play this weekend on Xbox One thanks to rising popularity of Free Play Days.
Sony is ready to drop more bombs.
Lemmings are already salty because when Jeff mentions "perhaps the best lineup we've ever had" they know he's talking about Sony's and or 3rd party exclusive to or also available on PS4 since they know MS doesn't do much on exclusives and no one want's to go exclusive 3rd party only on the bone anymore.
Help me to understand. I've seen people say this before and I can't comprehend the logic. We know these games take years to make. It's not the 90's or early 00's anymore. It hasn't for some time. Even when people are willing to put this unspoken "Release Timing King" crown to one or another platform, they still get cancelled games and lost-to-multiplat announcements within this arbitrary window.
In the meantime, I don't know about you, but I don't buy my gaming machines to be spoon-fed releases one year at a time. I want to know what's coming to my systems. I want to know developers are continuing my favorite franchises. I want to be hyped for new stories and new worlds. Most of all, I don't want to look at ANY of my machines and have to think to myself "MAYBE next year will be better."
Please, help me to understand. Is this just sour grapes over games that went to development hell? Did we buy into some faction's feather in their cap and not think as to what their motivations were in doing so? Am I just too damn patient?
Because we know hype =/= reality, particularly with how tightly controlled information about game is. Heck, this is especially true for games the publisher thinks will face plant.
I expect to see some cinematic trailers I for games I might be excited about when folks I trust play the beta version and release real game play footage. For any game announced at E3, that is years away. No reason to be hyped now except blind trust in an industry with a reputation for sticking it hard to early adopters.

I just want to see Andromeda finally... not interested in concept art and cut scenes.... show me the game or GTFO
YES, THIS. Oh and while they're showing it, if they could go ahead and announce a Mass Effect remastered trilogy including all DLC and releasing in August/September, to hold us over till the new game, that'd be amazing.

both $ony and micro$oft are failing very badly.
$ony and Micro$haft suck more than NathanDrakeSwag
Flagged for your unhealthy obsession with me.

He seems to be in love with Playstation more but he could be just following the crowd.
Thanks for reminding me saw this posted today somewhere and forget all about it. Going to download it to try Soccer with Cars?

I didn't think it could get worse, but you are worse than dynamitecop. At least he tries to backup his delusions with 30page long threads. You are just a waste of bandwidth. Do you believe the stuff you type?
Everything's getting leaked before E3 ....it's not that much excited anymore.
Still, hope he's right.
It was kinda like this last year, though. It makes me wonder if all the publishers get together and share their announcements a couple of weeks before E3 so that everyone who expects to get slayed by a big announcement can get their hype train out early.
Like. If there's a Crash Bandicoot announcement or Half Life 3 level bombshell, you'd actually be glad you heard about the XII remake early.
Every year we hear whispers about HL3, and every year we walk away disgruntled. It's more pathetic than cows listing Agent and TLG on their annual game lists.
Lets be honest. The only thing that would be a true bombshell this year is Half-Life 3....and we know that isn't happening.
@kvally: I fail to see how they are failing badly. If anything, Microsoft is in a much worse spot compared to them
Unless Valve is dropping a HL3 bomb (which is not happening), it is very hard to justify that kind of hype.
If the rumors surrounding Sony's conference are true then the hype is more than justified.

Unless Sony is going to be releasing their first party games on PC, it will not be justified.
Ditto below. I love seeing both short term and definitely long term what my platform will be getting.
Only thing is....they announce things we won't see for YEARS. Shenmue 3 was exciting but...how far away is that thing from being playable? With delays up the yin yang it's hard to really get excited.

@Bread_or_Decide: They still need more money, another million dollars will allow the game to have a pause menu.
As far as hyping the show goes, I don't expect much. He probably knows about an announcement of an obvious sequel and is acting as if its the greatest thing ever. Oh Red Dead Redemption 2, The Last of Us 2, we're all so impressed.
