Gamespot contradictions. The Luigi Mansion review.

I hope reviews stay harsh because I'm tired of seeing so many 9's thrown around. The 9 already lost its meaning and people just see it as something good instead of something mind-blowingly awesome. The scale of 10 has 10 numbers but reviewers only use the last 4 numbers (7, 8, 9, 10) and the rest is just garbage.

Trash game for a trash system.

I think it is hilarious when reviewers dock a game for being difficult. Shouldn't Demon Souls have gotten a 0?

stop comparing reviews from like 4 years ago to today. Reviewers were different too. NEWMAHAY

back in the day reviewers were so impressed with HD graphics they gave high scores to most games. You make a ratio of high scoring games between this gen and any other from the past and you'll see that most games today were overrated. Half the perfect scores that Famitsu has awarded to games through all its history were to games from this gen.

Nintendo been on the FAIL train lately. Come on Nintendo get those great games out already.

I find that a 4.5 reduction for difficulty is shameful.  What a terrible review.

When GTA IV came out there wasnt a "checkpoint culture" as the one we have now. Now every game has constant checkpoints, when GTA IV came out not having that many checkpoints was normal. GTA IV was reviewed by its time standards. Luigi's Mansion was reviewed by today's standards. Whats so hard to understand?

GTA4 is more deserving of its 10 that this Luigi Mansion.
Stop being a sore Sheep and comparing game scores to something that is not comparable.

Might as well compare it to Crysis 3 graphics whilst your at it.

She scored Naruto UNS 3 low too, so at least she's being consistent. But yeah...

Having to replay 20% of the game (5 mansion total with no checkpoints in each?) every time you die does seem extreme though.

Absolute bullshlt.

GTAIV is a masterpiece. The vehicle controls actually had weight which is 100 times better than the floating cars you get in games like Saints Row. There was nothing wrong with the shooting mechanics either, they were vastly improved since last gen GTA games. Obviously there is room for improvement. 10 =/= perfect.

5 years after release and we still haven't had an open world game with the attention to detail present in GTAIV. In comparison, every open world has felt empty. (Until GTAV i'm guessing). GTAIV deserved 10 a lot more than other games out there *cough*MGS4*cough*

GtaVI had those same problems, how is this hard to see? Not to even bring up the extreme **** that is the PC port. I mean come on... Bank mission anyone? Ya I loved doing that 10 times over an over starting from the start of the mission, /vomit.

Stupid comparison aside I don't think anyone even pays attention to GS reviews for handheld games.

Though a 6.5 is a bit harsh... everyone else seems to be over scoring it because it's luigi. In the end it doesn't even balance out... the nostalgia always wins.

I'm kinda surprised how GTA IV pales in quality in comparison to Red Dead Redemption. Thank god i've played Red Dead redemption, to rebuild my hype and hopes for  rockstar games,to make the better GTA5. GTA IV was a mess, that still left the bad taste in my mouth till today

Unlike a lot of people here, a few negative scores do not affect my enjoyment of a game. Luigi's Mansion is receiving fairly positive reviews all around with a few exceptions, and I really loved the first Luigi's Mansion so I still plan to purchase it. It is only a review score, don't let it affect your enjoyment of game.

Anyway, another lowish scoring 3DS exclusive by Gamespot, no big deal.

Unlike a lot of people here, a few negative scores do not affect my enjoyment of a game. Luigi's Mansion is receiving fairly positive reviews all around with a few exceptions, and I really loved the first Luigi's Mansion so I still plan to purchase it. It is only a review score, don't let it affect your enjoyment of game.

Sony are the only ones putting out quality content while Nintendo and M$ flop around like dying fish.
