Does the PS3 have any standout MP games?

Seriously, does the PS3 have any MP games that can stand toe to toe with games like Halo or Gears in terms of anything? I never saw much, UC3 had great dev support but the game was terrible to play, Killzone 2 was fun, but 3 was a mess, Starhawk=LOL, Socom, even playstation fans will admit they just want a HD remake of 2. I honestly can't think of any.

It has plenty:

Killzone 2/3

Uncharted 2/3

Resistance 1/2 (never played 3)

Little Big Planet 1/2 (you only need to buy the sequel, it comes with all LBP 1 levels)

Demon's Souls (though I hear they turned off the servers)

It also has great multiplat MP based games as well such as COD, RDR etc....Both systems have the great MP games, which one has the better one's comes down to your personal preference.

Uncharted's kindof fun but it never had any real staying power. StarHawk looks pretty good and I remember alot of people used to play WarHawk.

I liked KZ3 multiplayer quite a bit. They say KZ2 is even better. UC3 MP is pretty fun as well. I haven't played Warhawk, but I heard it was a standout game in the early PS3 years. Fat Princess looks fun as well. Can't say I like any online MP game on PS3 better than Halo, but then again I can't say I like any online MP game on any system as much as I like Halo, except Team Fortress 2 on PC.

Oh I forgot LBP. I'm not that much into platformers, but it's hard to not have any fun playing this series online. Nothing really like it on 360 and one of PS3's best MP games imo.

What method do you use to stream videos from your computer to your PS3? When my laptop is on in the same room, I see that it shows up in some kind of network options with the ps3, but I've never really tried to do anything with it. How might I use the PS3 to watch videos that are, say, on an external HDD connected to my laptop?

Killzone 2 was fantastic.

That's about it.

Killzone 3 was alright.
It kinda went downhill from there

Also don't get the Gears 3 hate? I doubt any of you cows have actually played it. Simply relying on the other responses to form an opinion.

It still beats pretty much all Sony's online offerings

No, all of them are either super generic or bargin bin level. That tends to happens when their games focus on presentation over gameplay.

I think what is funnier is that all the lems are Republican

the only real games i played on the PS3 were the multiplayer components if its first party titles, uncharted 2 and 3, killzone 2 and 3, demons' souls, I played all for at least 100-150 hours each if you could believe it. all great experiences. ironically, never touched the single player for any of them though.

I dont think anyone can mention any games that will satisfy you or answer your question as you will keep moving the goal posts to suit whatever agenda this thread is trying to achieve....

Just my theory, anyways/ but the LBP games and Demons Souls have some of the most unique and innovative multiplayer elements this gen...
