Whoever composed the tracks for Gears is best imo.

Worst would probably be the poor fool that composed the tracks in the Uncharted series.

Makes sense though since the Gears series has always been better in every way.

PS.  TLOU is the flop of all time.

Oh no you didn't

Well since this thread is back, I'll go Danny Baranowsky this time 'round. I've recently become quite a fan of him and especially his Isaac and Meat Boy work, and I find a lot of it pretty impressive. Then again, I don't know anything about music, but maybe I won't mind being ignorant about this.

Akira Yamaoka.

spookykid143

^^ along wiith Uematsu.

I like Robin Beanland too, dat Killer Instinct Soundtrack. Also, Grant Kirkhope is on the list but i'm pretty sure the Goldeneye soundtrack was a collaboration of Kirkhope, Beanland and Norgate.

Uematsu and Jeremy Soule are really close for me.

Soule doesn't get nearly enough credit for his work.  I can claim his contributions make up half the atmosphere in bethesda's games.

Reported for trolling! Gears is garbage through and through Gears is the worst most restrictive shooter out there Last of Us is the greatest game ive ever played. It has the highest user rating of the year too! Also gamespot isnt credible for their reviews. Every body knows this Really poor troll job over all. I award you zero points and may god have mercy on your soul

There are so many good ones but my favorite is still Frank Klepacki.  Hell March and industrial music ftw.

Jeremy Soule is up there for me too.

If I were trolling you it would seem I was successful.

Unfortunately (for you) I'm just speaking facts.  Cant report people for simply respecting the better series and calling a flop when they see it.

Obviously, your brain functions similarly to the AI in TLOU... so sad.  :(

Yoko Shimomura.

Edit- So far I only seen one person mention Yoko WTF? She's so good. I mean come on, Super Mario RPG, Kingdom Hearts, Radiant Historia and one of the best soundtracks ever, Xenoblade. She's also gonna do Kingdom Hearts 3 and FF XV. It sucks that she won't be returning and doing the soundtrack for Monolith Soft X. :(

Tim Follin and Rob Hubburd, both amazing chip tune musicians from the 80's, their C64 work is without doubt stunning, I have no idea who any of those people are in the poll tbh, they ain't making music with the host hardware as far as I can fathom, oh a shout out too to Jeff Minter, the lama loving hippie can bang out some bad ass chip tunes too

Kouichi Sugiyama
Hitoshi Sakimoto
Manabu Namiki
