Nice for Ocho to offer but of course the NFL turn it down.

I don't see how the NFL can stop Ochocinco from giving him the money after he pays the fine.Nice for Ocho to offer but of course the NFL turn it down.

Charlie is outperforming Tarvaris so far in the preseason. Uh oh...monkeytoes61The Seahawks look pretty bad. The mediocre QB's you have now will make Hasselbeck look like you had Joe Montana at QB. It's a pretty easy formula in the NFL. Good teams have good QB's and the bad teams have bad QB's. It's a QB league. The "Lose for LUCK" campaign is in full motion in Seattle.

Let's hold on at least until week four or five.

The rules are there for a reason, because the league wants the game to be played that way. The fines are a way of getting players to stick to the rules. If the players being fined aren't paying the money themselves then they have no incentive to follow the rules, which is the point of the fines in the first place. Agree or disagree with the rule itself, the fines become pretty much meaningless if the players aren't paying them.
Oh, and can everyone remember it's just preseason? I swear, people act like they can predict the entire season practically after just two preseason games, but this is really just practice.

I understand that, but I don't think the NFL can tell Ochocinco to not give him money. Sure, Foster will have to pay the fine, but Ochocinco could easily just give him the money back after the fine is paid, and I don't believe the NFL has the authority to tell him he cannot do so.Like I said... it's a QB league. Hasselbeck put some fear into the other team... now the Seahawks don't scare anybody on offense. The QB's are average to bad... the RB's don't scare anyone... and neither does the receiving corp with the bad QB's they have. Throw in the D that's not that good and factor in they will be on the field a LOT this year with that offense... and things aren't looking up. For your sake I hope I'm wrong. The bright side is that Division is the worst in FB so maybe they can hang around until things click. If the Seahawks win more than 7 games with those QB's... they've really done something this year.ohjtbehaaaveI don't think they will be doing all that great. I really see the Rams standing on top of the NFC West.

The receivers should scare some people. Nobody wants to face two WRs that are both 6' 4" or taller. I agree, it won't be a GREAT season for Seattle. But you are making it sound way worse than it is. They signed some good FAs, the offensive line is young and will only get better with time. T Jack is just a stopgap for the next QB anyways. My prediction for this year is 7-9. If Tarvaris plays really well, maybe 8-8. It's been two preseason games, I am not giving up on him yet.

If the league found out he did give him money seperately and/or it became a regular thing I think the league would come down on OC pretty hard. I think really he was just trying to show his support for defensive players, it was symbolic.
...preseason.I must say I am very impressed with Colt McCoy. Browns can be a potiental playoff team this season.

[QUOTE="sherman-tank1"]...preseason. agreed. but i did like what i saw from him last year. thing is, they play in the AFC north. competing against the steelers and ravens. i don't see them finishing above EITHER team. they get 3rd place at bestI must say I am very impressed with Colt McCoy. I've been saying it since he was drafted, he will be the next great QB in this league. Not saying he is as good as Joe Montana, but he basically is just like him. Same body build, 3rd round pick, great accuracy with average arm strength, and they run the same system (albeit, this West Coast offense is a little different from the one Bill Walsh ran 30 years ago).I must say I am very impressed with Colt McCoy. Browns can be a potiental playoff team this season.

No, top 10 maybe, but not top 5. Matt Ryan, Josh Freeman, Andrew Luck (yes, I went there), Joe Flacco, Cam Newton (Yep, I went there again) will all be better when the Bradys and the Mannings of the NFL are gone.I must say I am very impressed with Colt McCoy. Freeman is top 5 good. He was top 10 good in his 2nd year.No_Hablo_Inglesi don't know what it is. maybe i just haven't watched the right games, but i haven't seen anything all that impressive.

[QUOTE="No_Hablo_Ingles"][QUOTE="sherman-tank1"]...preseason. So? You canstill judge individuals from preseason. Of course you can, just like you can do so before a game. Manning, manning, brady, vick, rodgers, breez, rivers, orton, cutler, romo, ryan, flacci, big ben, mcnabb(i think he sucks). He isnt top 1010 yet, although he had a really good season.ChuteboxThe numbers disagree with you, and he does it with the youngest offense in the NFL against the toughest division in the NFL. That's all I have to say.
