The sad thing is I don't even know that I believe him. The dude lies all the time, and for all we know he could be doing this to garner sympathy from voters because the election doesn't seem to be going his way.

They must have got it from Hope Hicks, who's been traveling with Trump on AF1 and is possitive as well. But yeah, who knows with Trump, might be fake news to get out of any future debates.

If this is a lie or ploy for political capital or sympathy, then there’s absolutely no bottom that Trump will not resort to. That would be incomprehensibly disrespectful and exploitative to the hundreds of thousands that’ve perished from this bug and everyone else affected by it, pure sociopathy, not to mention given his role in COVID’S proliferation.

I have a very low opinion of the man, but even that I cannot buy into.

What concerns me most here is that he may get a mild case, be asymptomatic, and come out the other end doubling down on his narrative COVID is harmless, and that’ll be reflected in his actions, talk and policy.

Sorry if you don't like it, but Trump has made being a habitual liar such a huge part of his persona that I can't help, but wonder if he is lying about this as well. His lack of honesty is on him, not me.

Oh I think it's fair to say that if he does recover he will absolutely double down on it being harmless, regardless of how tough it was for him.

This is one of those situations where I wish I had just a slightly better opinion of the man, but again, and I can't stress this enough, my perception is based on his own words and actions.

His advisor hope hicks tested positive, thats why trump and melanie had to get tested, hes positive but I dont think hes showing symptoms, alot of people dont.

Who knows, I could have it, havent been tested since i dont feel sick, might just be asymptomatic.

Can't help to wonder how it will affect the election. Trump will be quarantined for like what, two weeks at the least? Second debate is gone. It's also possible he won't recover until after November 3. Another question is how many of his top staff that are infected.

Will he get sympathy, or not? I guess the angle from his opponent will be that he has himself to blame and deserves it. They will keep the pressure on for sure. That may come off as cruel though.

Since Trump was losing, anything that stirs the pot a bit can't be that bad politically. Not saying I think it's a lie, not at all. He has tested positive.

A lot of young people are asymptomatic. I don't think the same is true for the elderly.

Trump is in an at-risk category, so he's much more likely to have symptoms (if he actually has it).

I hope they recover fine but I also hope it makes him realise that it's something to be taken seriously and that the dismissive attitude up to this point has been a very dangerous one to hold.
