No. Never once felt embarrassed when using the thing, either at home or in public. Maybe handheld gaming has yet to catch on in your area?
Nope, on the trains everyone has one in their hands. And, why would you feel embaressed, the PSP has some good games but not enough to balance the terrible ones. However, I don't treat my PSP as the standard gaming device, just a portable console for playing on short trips...
In California being an EMT WITHOUT a PSP is something to be embarrassed about. Seriously.
We have a squad of about 42 guys and I'd say it's split right down the middle with PSP owners and DS owners. (With a few REALLY old timers owning GBAs) :D
Handheld gaming is a must in these parts. Don't know why you'd ever feel embarrassed. It's a fantastic system..
I kind of feel embarresed what about you guys?Psp1315
Note this coming from a person with the username Psp1315...
Anyway, I'm in no way embarrassed about my PSP. Weird question to ask in a PSP gaming forum, btw.
First post, posts and leaves, misspelled word, makes fun of a specific type of gamer. I know what this person is.
Same, its game selection is some what limited in my opinion still trying to find a great RPG on it besides Crisis Core.I wasn't embarassed when I had mine... I was dissapointed though.

I would be more embarrassed by your spelling, if I were you. Perhaps you SHOULD lay off the PSP, and pay a little more attention to school.

lol at the same word misspelled two different ways in the same post. I didn't notice that before...
No not at all why should we be I like the PSP to gives me something to do while I'm on the bus as I hate just siting on the bus with nothing to do personally I don't care what other people think as long as I'm doing something and having fun I'll play my PSP as much as I want. I thought this was a bit of weird question though.

you are so correct!
How is that correct?
Embarassed for having the most powerful hand-held ever made with a good selection of fun games? No, I don't think so.

well first post = new account. obviously here to troll the psp board.
Also think there's no reason to be embarrassed about..there aren't many Great games for it but still for a handheld we can play games like Tekken, GOW, Crisis Core..all of that and many more with Awesome Graphics, Control, Sound.... You can watch videos and listen music...now you can even read comics that look really awesome in it(There are some issues for free..try it). Lots of great stuff coming from the PSP.
I am not embarrassed about my own PSP 2000. but I am embarrassed on behalf of Sony for making the PSP GO!
I don't see many canadians here play a psp in busses either. Every now and then I do notice a PSP or DS but they are in their early tweeens. Most of the guy friends I have are big on home console gaming. It is all about attitude and self confidence. I used to use my PSP on the bus before as a mp3 player, and had to put my psp in my school bag. It looked like I was hiding a concealed weapon in the bus (because my hand was holding the PSP inside the bag), and I am sure people looked at me funny. Guess what I did? I closed my eyes and slept like a baby, with my mouth wide open. They don't like it, they can look some where else.
Childish remark really. If you were embarassed about owning a PSP then why get one?
And why should we be?
guys didnt you see my other post i said you were right! Psp1315
Saying that doesn't fix your spelling :)

There's nothing troll about his post
He even agreed with some of you guys after they attacked him obliquely
I admit, sometimes I play it too much, and I look like a freak at school when I'm just listening to music or checking the time. But what most people don't understand is that the PSP is a bit more than a gaming device, it's a portable media player and Internet device. With a little extra money, it can even be a phone :P.
Everyone loves DS, but why? DS has a lot more bad games to outnumber the good IMO, and there really isn't that much improvement over the GBA in multimedia potential, meaning in-game music and FMVs.
Sometimes, I think Nintendo is a little too gimmicky. I mean, the Wii is great for multiplayer, but there's nothing wrong with good old buttons and analog sticks. And the PSP is so much like a game console, nothing can equal it. In the same way the PS1 introduced multimedia gaming to the console world, the PSP introduced it to the portable gaming world.
Same, I have like 20 games and I only have like 6 that I would give a good score like 9 or 10/10 but on my DS I have like 15 games and I think all of them deserve at least a 9I wasn't embarassed when I had mine... I was dissapointed though.

First Post! :o Why would i be embarrassed, owning a PSP is great :) BloodSeeker1337
LOL! love the "first post" and especially since it's not..... but anyways.... NO i'm not embarrassed to own a psp. Most people I know think it's cool. I just wish they'd release more great games on it. another wipeout game? another god of war? resident evil? some more exclusives? Just seems the library is kinda disappointing thats all.
I'm not embarrassed. I work downtown so I always use public transportation. Along with the other "suits" (meaning men and women 35+years of age), and these are people I always see Monday through Friday, they are always asking me about my PSP Go. Where do I put the games, what about this and that. Heck, some of them went on to even buy a PSP or a Go. These are people that money is nothing to them. So posts I'll agree with like where are the exclusives and more releases and such.
im embarrassed to own a psp 3000 because im over the age of 21
the 3000 looks like its for teenagers
but i love useing my glass mount on my window when i drive because i drive alot in the summer
psp go doesnt have a glass mount for it for cars
plus i can use my psp 3000 as a gps with the gps software available for it
so until i buy an a psp go ill hide my psp 3000 in my pocket lol, just use it for in car movies and as a walkman
