I have such a huge of backlog of games that I have yet to finish:

Crysis (I got bored of the game after the alien sphere part.)

Half-Life 2: Episode Two (Tried finishing it but never did. I am still stuck in the antlion caves.)

Empire: Total War (I put over eighty hours into it, yet I've never finished a single campaign.)

The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion (Never finished the main quest despite putting in over sixty hours into it.)

Medal of Honor: Airborne (Didn't finish the last mission.)

There are many other games... but ever since I got a job and started buying more games, I am failing to complete many of them. I just don't have the time anymore, really...

I have about 160 unbeaten games. I am not even going to list them.

That's my problem with a lot of games as well. Story really has taken a front seat for me the last couple of years.

Crysis - gameplay is too boring to me. Playing it feels like a chore rather than having fun, and I haven't even reached the alien part yet, which I hear is much worse than the first part of the game. I'm gonna try and finish this so I can review it because I think one should only review games that were at least beaten (except if it's really bad), but it's not very easy if you can play much more fun games at the same time.

Far Cry 2 - I played it about 1.5 years ago at my brother's and I had quite some fun with it, but my save got deleted. Now I got it myself and started playing again, but I just can't get myself to play for more than 20 minutes at a time.

And quite a few other games.

It would be easier to list the games I've finished. I'll get to doing something else and I think I'll get back to them and seemingly never do. Oh well an embarrassment of riches.

Off the top of my head:

1. Bioshock, near the end your just going through the motions, boring.

2. Oblivion, put over 100 hours into the game and my character is actually at the final showdown. But for some reasonI havenever returned to finish it lol.

which is why I cant say the story in bioshock is good, it starts off interesting but ends horribly. A story with a crappy ending is a crappy story.

Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics. Had completed the first Fallout just before playing the second, but had enough of post-apocalyptic setting. Can't pull myself towards playing them again.

Also Mr. Robot and Gish.

Crysis was actually the first game after a long time that i finished. After that only Fallout 3 (as an old Fallout fan i had to : p) e: i've tried almost every new game that has been worth even trying, so that answers the topic. it needs a good game that i'd actually even start it the second time.

Dead Space. The controls are so useless I find it unplayable.

STALKER: Clear Sky. I get slaughtered during the final battle against Strelok because my armour is too degraded.

Far Cry 2, Bioshock (I've played nearly to the ending four times already, and I've watched the ending and some of the last levels so I've never actually completed Bioshock. I got really tired of it every time), Assassins Creed 1, Dead Space (haha, I'm one of the few people who doesn't like DS), Prey, and Trine.

Grand Theft Auto IV - Checkpoint system angered me so much that i just gave up

GTA IV: The ballad of Gay Tony - horrid helicopter controls and that mission where you push someone out of a helicopter then try to catch him caused me to give up

Assassins Creed 2 - platforming controls frustrated me but I liked the game otherwise, may return to it eventually

Half-Life 1 - got stuck part way through then lost the save games

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines - new GPU caused horrible texture and GUI problems, still looking for a fix so i can finish the game

Homeworld - the last Garden of Kadesh misison kicked my ass, my fleet was already weakened and i had no means to strengthen it again

Thief 2 - stopped playing after the second mission for no apparent reason

Stalker: Clear Sky - when i went into the freedom territory everyone was hostile so i couldn't continue

Just Cause 2 - is it eve possible to finish this game?

Prototype - got bored half way through

Both GRAW games - got overly difficult; GRAW 2 buggy cutscene caused me to fail a mission i should have passed

Splinter Cell: Double Agent - finished PS2 version, PC version was kind of rubbish

i think that about covers it

Too many:

Assassin's Creed
Beyond Good & Evil
Bioshock 2
Dead Space
Doom 3
Dragon Age: Origins
Far Cry
Far Cry 2
F.E.A.R.
Grand Theft Auto 1, 2, 3, Vice City, San Andreas, and GTA4
Half-Life - I could never get through 'Interloper', and I've given up trying
The Last Remnant
Morrowind
Prototype
Universe At War
STALKER: Shadow Of Chernobyl
Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic
The Witcher

Probably even more than that...

The Total War games. Never finished the main campaign of either Rome or Medieval II. Don't really want to buy Napoleon until I finish at least one of them. Also haven't finished S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl, and I want to go back to that at some point.

Game I left unfinished for the longest has probably been Myst III: Exile. Took me eight years to finish it. Bought it in 2001. Finally finished it last year.

Crysis - in the final stretch but haven't quite beaten it yet.

Gothic 3 - technical issues ftl

Commandos 3 - wasn't nearly as good as Commandos 2, saw no point.

Cryostasis - technical issues ftl 2

Deus Ex: Invisible War - just haven't gotten around to playing it since I bought it on Steam

Evil Genius

GTA IV - stopped playing, too boring.

Mirror's Edge - Motion sickness ouch

Overlord II - in progress

Stalker: SoC - gotten very far several times but haven't brought it home yet

Spore - so repetitive once you have everything in space age, didn't care to finish

Torchlight - nearly there, haven't bothered to finish yet

A lot of games like metioned before I find more and more I focus on the story rather then the game play and a lot of games have stories that are so boring that it is not worth going through the boring game play to finish.

Most recently, Dragon Age. Just couldn't get into the combat. It felt like a necessity to pause the game to assign skills to be used etc, every few seconds. I got about halfway through.

Here we go: Just Cause 2 - Just got boring afterwards. Missions are repetitive, voice acting was annoying, and the action just wore out. It's a shame since I love the vehicle physics and grappling. Penumbra: Requiem - Just lacks the feel of the first two. Massively disappointing. S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: CoP - Pacing just didn't feel right and it feels way too similar to SoC. I didn't feel like enough was done to make the action feel fresh. At least it's not as linear. Medieval 2: Total War - Just haven't gotten around to it. Company of Heroes + Expansions - Same as above. Dark Messiah of Might and Magic - Loved the demo, but after spending some time with the full game, it began to wear down. World of Goo - Fun, but I'm not done with it yet. Diablo II - Same as above. Red Faction: Guerilla - To be fair, I just bought this one. And this is what happens when Steam gets generous.
