10. Red Steel 2- The controls work surprisingly well, the graphics are fantastic, and the gameplay is, overall, ridiculously fun. If some of the design decisions had been better, I would probably rate this higher.
9. RE: Darkside Chronicles- An improvement over the first Chronicles game, thanks to little streamlining touches they did. Also, it has some of the best production values ever seen on the Wii.
8. No More Heroes 2: Desperate struggle. A good continuation of Travis Touchdown's story and some great new additions and changes. However its story lacks the mind blowing meaning that the first had and some of the boss fights aren't as good as the first and the assassins aren't well developed.
7. New Super Mario Brothers Wii- Lots of great levels, plenty of coins to collect, and the unlockable ninth world gives the determined players a biting challenge.
6. No More Heroes- Weird as hell, bloody, vulgar, hilarious and mind blowing are the reasons NMH is my number 8 choice. Plus the combat is simple fun.
5. Super Smash Brothers Brawl- A game I love to hate (thanks to playing with my friends). I've put too many hours onto this game. It is almost the ultimate party game to paly with friends, with more levels, more characters, more awesome music and more content than ever before.
4. Silent Hill Shattered Memories- A superb, unsettling atmospehre, fantastic production values, and an incredibly deep, emotional story that you can spend horus picking apart and figuring out. Not very scary, but one of the deepest games ever made.
3. Super Mario Galaxy 2- Even more creative, innovative and pure platforming fun than the original, thanks to improved design chocies (like making the Purple Coin challenges almost non existent), more level variety and other small improvements. It will be remembered as a platforming milestone, and with good reason.
2. Okami- Despite being a port, Okami is an incredibley fun, beautiful, charming, and emotional game. The gorgeous graphcis are complimented nicely by the distinctly Japanese soundtrack. Thankfully, the game has the gameplay to back up the stellar presentation, with a Zelda inspired structure that places mroe emphasis on the world and exploration than dungeons. Top it off with a story filled with twists, drama, emotion and humor, and you have one of the greatest games ever made.
1. Xenoblade Chronicles- A JRPG that is streamlined to near perfection, but never feels like its holding your hand. A seamless transition to the addictive battle system, a massive world to explore filled with monsters and rewards, an incredibly varied soundtrack that covers everything from subtle emotion to complete and utter epicness, and a surprising, twist filled story that will keep you playing. Loaded with content, like optional quests, and a long main narrative (at least 70 hours for most RPG players) that never feels too drawn out or tedious. Xenoblade is a masterful game, the kind that comes around once or twice a generation, making it, arguably, the best console game of the current gen of gaming.
