compared to the xbox and ps community? i have yet to experience profanity and attacks
Nintendo really is the worst of all the communities
First you have children and children at those ages don't handle themselves with the best social graces
Then you have the few adults who use Nintendo to cling to their childhoods and they do not know basic interactions.
It's more of a cult at that point.
I have to say the worst integrations have been with Nintendo. Nintendo is aware themselves, why do you think communication is so few and far between with their products?

Pay no attention to jasonguy. He is the resident Nintendo hater. But oddly enough he collects amiibos.
On the internet, the Playstation community since the launch of the PS4, became by far the worst, IMO.
Nintendo is on the opposite side. I think that's because the company does its own thing without the need to resort to marketing and PR to fuel the system wars. Probably if we were in the 90's, the community wouldn't be so polite with the whole Nintendo vs Sega thing.
I think, you know, we are the more mature, smart and sophisticated gamers. We're not like OMG COD black ops lalala woooo!! Kinda people.
Welcome to the Nintendo forums at Gamespot! I rarely visit the PS or Xbox forums, but I have to agree that most of the people in the Nintendo forums are pretty respectful and helpful. I would also add that there are some opinionated personalities and those with a good sense of humor too.
easy...Ninty's targets were kids and families, the community is much better as it's an inspiration from one of their franchises,Animal Crossing. if it wasn't for that...idk it might end up like Xbox, wherein the salinity is way too high(I don't like that community since I began playing video games)
The worst of the gaming community seems to be attracted to shooters and fighting games, which Nintendo has the least of.
shooter games are present in the Nintendo community, but they must agree with what good it will do to entertain the gamers, the only fighting game ninty know and produce(with the help of third parties) is the Smash Bros. series.I can't think of anything else really.
a fair example of shooter games below
most of them shooters are present in the Wii,I don't know about the DS ones,as I've been carried away by PMD:EoS,that's that.
I think its because ps and xbox is so similar, they are always at each other to be on top, but with Nintendo its obvious you dont want to be the best, so less arguing (unless you insult nintendo's practices, then the fanboys come out)
I don't think any community is immune to fanboyism and rudeness. Nintendo usually attracts gamers who aren't trying real hard to project this image of a "mature", macho gamer. Gamers who own Nintendo systems don't only want games that look like real life - they usually just want fun, well-made games.
I'd say it's a few things:
1. Nintendo games don't really compete with Xbox or Playstation directly in the way that those two fight each other...they're kind of off in their own unique area.
2. Lack of focus on graphics, so there's no resolution arguments.
3. The family/kid-friendly feel of Nintendo systems.
Maybe its just more childish community? Wait, thats not even a good thing.
I've seen worse communities who only wrote theories but never know how it works.
nintendo gamers are usually nicer, less aggressive and smarter.
this I can agree with, they got Big Brain Academy series, Animal Crossing series,Mario Bros.,uncommon third party support, imaginative devs, what more to ask.

Childish like in going out of their way to try to insult people? Oh wait...
I'm unsure of whether you're referring to the global Nintendo community, or just Gamespot. Here, the number of users on the Nintendo board is quite small. The more people you get, the greater the odds are of having a bad egg or three.
