Which generation had the worst pokemon. (poll)

yea 4th gen were horrible. The Pokemon people couldnt think of any new ideas so they just copied them off of real animals or previous pokemon.

My fav is the 3rd. I think it's just cuz Ruby was my first game. good memories...

I agreeits name could be better.

the first batch were natural and realistic and cool,like animals, something evolution could possibly bring about lol xD

the second were great as well, but not as good, but the game was at its peak there :)

but Pokemon died in Ruby and Saphire, since that huge dissapointment, i dropped Pokemon for life =)

i looked at the fourth batch and its like some random four year old's imagination, stupid, ugly, messed up colors, it shows its desperation for ideas, and how they ran out

i really dont like the 4th generation at all... they dont even look like pokemon, i counted maybe 5 that are cool. the rest.. garbage

if the fourth generation had come out first, everybody might actually be liking it more. I think the problem isnt so much that it's any less creative but that the new pokemon are just so boring because it's all been done before. I mean, i could totally see myself being disgusted with generation 1's pokemon of they had come out after 10 years and they just seemed like tacky copouts that tried to be "original" and different from the first ones. i mean, a metal ball that shoots electricity? evolutions that are just adding three of the previous ones together? a turtle with cannnons? one pokemon that was split just because of gender? Porygon? (ok well, after regiice and all those block animals its not a stretch). Why the hell is machop a human? why the hell are there human pokemon?

as awesome as the original are, its really about timing... if a lot of us didnt grow up with the old ones, we might see all the generations as one big pool and just choose ones that we like.

also, the adding of pre-evolution just seems utterly stupid. If they had come out originally, I might accept them as legit.

The fourth gen hate is making me kinda sad though. o.O;

Looking at this topic makes me sad. It makes me feel like Nintendo is driving this franchise into the ground like a lot of other companies do with a lot of other things...I played a little of leaf green or emerald, cant remember, and some of Diamond, I'm playing all the way thru Heart Gold though, it's a lot of fun and I'm sure the others are, just haven't had time to play them (which I am planning on doing). But yeah, I just hope they either stop when it's time to stop (which I believe the time is quickly aproaching) or start putting more effort into it...

No generation has really been bad, but I think they've only been getting better over time.

Of course, i'm only thinking of the RPGs.
