I think I read somewhere that Inafune or someone related to Recore said that it is basically kinda like the next Metroid Prime. You know made by some of the creators of prime series and will play similar to a metroid prime game.

@juboner: That Pacini said Batman Origins would be like a Metroid/Batman game. He needs to stop trying to live off Metroid and just move on.

@KBFloYd: Yeah I agree at first I was not impressed but the more I think about the mechanic of putting the core into different devices or robots for different situations the more I think it has potential, so many gameplay mechanics could be put into use . I'm guessing maybe to get to different area's you will have to use different core accepting robots. Or the different device/robots will be like getting upgrades to Samus suit.

@mesome713: I am not familiar with Pacini or the B Origins game. Did this guy used to work for retro or something?

@KBFloYd: You probably would be all over this game if it were a Wii-U exclusive, lol.

IIRC 3 people that worked on the prime series left to make their own company called armature, and they're making this game.

Which they haven't done anything besides a cancelled First person mega man game and a batman spin off on the 3ds.

Yeah, he directed Metroid Prime Series, but from what ive heard is the legend was the true one behind the game, it was a big team effort, like Texas Studio Retro and Japan Studios Nintendo EAD and R&D1 working together. His producers were Michael Mann (yes, he is who you think he is, the legend movie maker), Shigeru Miyamoto, Kenji Miki, Kensuke Tanabe, and Akira Otani. Ive heard Miyamoto was a big help with the direction of Metroid Prime

I dont know all that went on, but ive heard from many producers that Miyamoto helped design a bunch of stuff and helped inspire a bunch of stuff for Metroid Prime. Like Samus scanning was created cause one day Miyamoto walked into work and asked the producers to make Samus face bug like. The producers looked at him crazy and then realized that Miyamoto didnt mean give her a bug face, he meant give her like bug vision, and boom, magic was made. Also Tanabe was a BIG part of Metroid Prime from what i understand also. Miyamoto picked Retro cause they had good first person prototype games, they had created 3 that Nintendo had squashed, so Miyamoto decided to get them some help. Also, according to game director Mark Pacini, Miyamoto "felt that shooting in third person was not very intuitive"; so they changed it.

Yoshio Sakamoto who is co-creator and also an awesome game designer helped on the game . Retro Studios developed the storyline of Metroid Prime under the supervision of Yoshio Sakamoto, who verified that the plot ideas were consistent with the lore of the series' earlier games.

Tanabe is great producer, writer, designer, you name it. This dude played a major role in Metroid Prime series and a bunch of previous Nintendo games. Metroid Prime, Punch-Out and Donkey Kong Country Returns have been big success from Retro ever since Tanabe arrived to teach and show them the ropes. The dude is working magic somehow, it has been pretty cool to watch.

I thought it looked cool. That's the first time in a long time that a n X1 game really grabbed my interest. We'll see if it turns out good.

I'm interested in Recore mainly because I saw Retro Studios. If I had a Xbox One, I'd try it out for sure. If it's on PC, I'll get it there.

What specifically did you find "stupid" about them?

@Ovirew: right lol. Least wii u is getting mario tennis, right?!

Anyhoo, I'm pumped for this game. And I hope it's not first person like Metroid prime. That's all I ask. It looks like an interesting concept and I dig the art style. Yay xbox one for getting some interesting looking games!
