[QUOTE="trackxcboi"]is that true..jmangafanDo us a favor and punch your friend in the face. That is all anyone really needs to say in this thread.
Jmangafan, You are a silly, irrational fanboy to instantly jump to the conclusion that Zelda's story is brilliant, full stop. Firstly, there is a valued opinion of trackxcois friend- he has every right to think this.
Secondly, id have to agree, the story is weak, and not very compelling. Remember this is just opinion. If it does suck, tho, doesnt mean its not a good game.

Never heard of discussing opinions? That's the natural and only consequence of the word "opinion".
Too much fanboys here... Can't believe. TP story is not that special.Wintry_FlutistThat's just your opinion, I've got the right to think TP has a great storyline without being called a fanboy.

What are you basing that on? His opinion differs from yours so he's ignorant? I hope you're joking or tired, this isn't like you Wintry.
Yea, this Zelda has a great story, you're Link and you have to save Zelda. Its really deep. I wonder how it ends. LOLIamSliMLOL QFT.

Videogames are an important part of my life and I'm proud of it. Let me explain why:
As you may notice in my username, I study the flute. That leads, of course, to the study of art as a whole. If you studied art, you'd know since the 20th century it has been relying on interaction, mainly in theater (the public is often asked to participate) and music (all kind of stuff, from the use of dices to the interference of present elements). While interaction started being used in more explicit ways in art, as in those examples, another kind of cultural expression, built on interaction instead of using it as one of its elements, was born and started evolving - it's nowadays known as "videogames" but is reaching such broader audiences, that the word "game" cannot define it properly anymore. "Interactive software" is closer to it.
I'm not the kind of guy who try to provoke people by saying they have no life just because they play games, but I do realize its importance in modern culture, and its potential to be soon regarded as the 8th art. Therefore I will take games seriously instead of trying to sound cool by bashing people's interest.

Opinions are based on facts. I'd appreciate if people started defending their opinions properly instead of hiding behind the opinions FTW' barrier.

Right on man, videogames are as much of a part of entertainment culture now as are movies, you wouldn't tell someone they have no life just because they like to watch movies would you? Get a better hobby other than bashing people on forums trackxcboi.ok ok i get it
video games are important to many people
maybe its just me because i love hanging around outside
but yes i do love video games
Â

no:cry:
lol
on topic its decent, but not like metal gear solid or final fantasy
I was very compelled by TP's story. I haven't been completely used to the old Zelda games, so I guess it added that extra pizazz, but to me I though it was very breathtaking at each cutscene, and was not weak whatsoever. Even though I was annoyed that Link was saving Zelda yet again, there were no voices, and Gandalf is back for the 1,000,000,000th time, I thought it was an amazing story. Also I'm sure many people disagree with me, as this is my own opinion, so I will not hold it against them.Aeroxix
Gandalf? :?

nicee...Â
TP story underperforms, for sure, but that does not mean it is not compelling. There are interesting facets placed in there, such as the Twilight world, but that, along with just about everything else in the game storywise, do not mesh together very well. It is easy to get caught up in the story, however. You only see its flaws if you really look for them.
Â
I personally thought it was passable, but not above average. I'm still waiting for another revolutionary Zelda game, because TP was not revolutionary.Â
