Woohoo! Split-screen play!
"As a final surprise, Tujimoto revealed that Monster Hunter 3 can run with a split screen so that two players can enjoy the game together. A real-time demo was played on the stage where one player played on the top screen and the second player played on the bottom screen. During the demo, one of the players used the Wii Remote and Nunchuck, while the other player used the c l a s s i c controller."

let me explain something;
complaints about camera and general control system = NOOB
there was NOTHING wrong with the camera, it's just that some people (like the gamespot reviewer) didnt understand that you had to use your index finger to control it (with the d-pad). I've soloed through all of monster hunter freedom 2 and monster hunter portable 2nd G (the sequel only released in japan so far) totalling over 350 hours in the game series and the controls haven't been a problem for me since the first few minutes of playing.
let me tell you this, for all of those desperately waiting for this game and who have not played the series before, you're in for a massive treat BUT you may find it impossibly difficult for the first couple of hundred hours...
In the series so far character movements and physics have been extremely well implemented but alot of reviewers and such seem to have found great difficulty in having your character having to build momentum momentarily before running and not being able to instantly turn around, much like in real life.
all in all, its popularity in japan and cult status in western countries is completely justified.
But I wished at TGS they showed new weapons if their are any new ones I hope so. Or talked a little more on online play, and also how the play and pay going to work.neji122793

Bump'MonsieurXCapcom were recently asked if Is Monster Hunter 3 Wii was going to be released in the U.S. "So far the title has only been announced for Japan. In the West, our focus is currently on Monster Hunter Unite (PSP) which is coming in 2009." replied Capcom's Christian Svensson.

I can only imagine sneaking up on a small pack, and picking one off. Man that would be sweet.
I've been really looking forward to this game and this just got me more pumped x]. Im really hoping they dont screw up the online though X_X nintendo has a habit of doing that.PolychiefGood thing Nintendo isn't making it then :)
Earlier today, we heard some information that pointed to Monster Hunter 3 possibly going to another platform after it’s Wii release. Capcom has since updated their official Japanese page for Monster Hunter 3 with a bit of info. They say that right now, they only plan to bring out a Wii version.
