No. While I think it is probably a really good game, I am not the kind of gamer who finds it enjoyable to spend an hour or two figuring out how to kill a monster. Call it monster ADD if you will, but building up my character's skills and collecting items to build better weapons for the purpose of hunting bigger monsters doesn't get me excited.

Still, I don't think some videos on YouTube can really show you what this game is all about, and the people who like obviously really like it.

I spent like ten hours on it I'm sorry to say. I just couldn't get into it and hated the horrible graphics

120 hours for me, last time I checked. I hope Iwata keeps giving Capcom money so the franchise stays at Nintendo for home consoles :X

I find this surprising. Are these worldwide numbers? I find it very hard to believe that people in the west has played this so much. I personally don't like the game very much, but I do see the appeal. I think the controls are too stiff and the overall game gets repetitive after a while.

Eh I've tried the demo of it and didn't really like it but I can see thats its a great game if you're into this style of game. Perhaps I should give the demo another shot and see if it changes my mind.

I put in over 100 hrs into this game, and no where near done. However, I don't know if I'd ever finish as I haven't played this game in months. You really got get into the mindset of properly prepping for battle and getting the next level or item. I have to mentally prepare myself of brace to play this game. Don't get me wrong...I love it, whenever I feel like playing. Also, I don't spend as much time gaming, and fall into cycle of buying new games I never finish...lol.

Wow for a game thats only been out for around six to seven months, to beat a game thats been out for over two and a half years in gameplay hours is incredible. I doubt that it'll stick there though. Until the next smash game comes out, Brawl will be played to death even after the Wii's lifespan. i expect Brawl to be back to number one in about a year or two.

If you want help with MH3 search for the MH3 thread in this board and ask it there, it should only be a few pages back. If that doesn't help you go to the MH3 gamefaqs board, they are a little more snarky but you will find what your looking for.
