In your opinion which game is the best ever to come out on the DS??

well im curious, i would like to know which game each one of you DS owners think is the best ever that came out on the NDS??

since i just made this topic i would to say for me the best game i played on the DS would be The world ends with you .. great game, great story, awesome gameplay and perfect ending :D.

JUMP! Ultimate Stars

Tons of gameplay for the story, tons of replay value, tons of unlocks, great controls, awesome SSB style fighting, and IMO, the best online experience on the DS.

jump ultimate stars and grand theft auto chinatown wars. although pokemon diamond provided me with many hours of enjoyable gameplay so im definitly getting platinum

yoshi's island. or ff4. i don't own enough ds games to have a valid opinion on it, i only have about 15.

Really It depends on what type of game you like.. there are multiple amazing games for different genres.

Personally, I think Professor Layton is the best. I loved all the puzzles and it kept me up at night pondering how in the world to solve some of them.

Also up there would be GTA Chinatown wars

The World Ends With You. Played it non-stop. nearly cried when i finished it. i want more!

There are so many quality games... but The World Ends With You is a masterpiece. Pheonix Wright also jumps to mind. Can't really choose either way.

I will go with PH because it is really the only game to use the 2nd screen, touch screen, and microphone all very well and added multiplayer to Zelda and is just very well done.

Though I haven't played TWEWY which seems to be very good.

Metroid Prime: Hunters. When that game was out, there was no way I was going to put down my DS. It was so addictive.

Mario Kart DS,followed closely by Elite Beat Agents and Ouendan 2.

It's a toss up between Phantom Hourglass, GTA: Chinatown Wars, and Professor Layton. Phantom Hourglass uses the all of the DS' features to perfection, and the note-taking feature is the best thing to happen to Zelda since Z-Targeting. GTA: Chinatown Wars provides countless hours of gameplay--extremely deep gameplay at that--and makes great use of the touch screen. It's also the second most addicting DS game I've ever played. The most addicting is Professor Layton and the Curious Village. It has one of the best, most compelling stories on the DS, hours upon hours of fun, and some brutally challenging brain teasers. The art style and sweet cut-scenes are also top notch.l

I've never got to fully play through The World Ends With You, but I rented it for awhile and really enjoyed what I played. I might pick this up with my DSi, so I'll have to see if it lives up to the hype.

You got that right everyone need to get this great game... i bought this game because 1)its from Square Enix and 2) because it got the best game in 2008 ...i would really love it to see the sequel going to ps3 :P.. i know square will do it somehow to make it work for that system.. they always know what their doing :D.. i can dream a little :P

man i cant decide. i put tons of hours into MKDS, MPH, SM64, and i even loved Kirby Canvas Curse. TWEWY is up there too but i didnt get into like all of you seem to have. it was fun but i really sucked at playing the game till after i beat it, ive got prolly 25hours on that game and can just barely start taking bosses on hard, some on normal. i think my problem with it was that it has soooooo mch depth, and i just didnt get that on my first playthrough. now as i play it back, i realize just how much i missed, but i already know the story, so theres not the same drive to continue playing =/

I'm right there with you, I'm so addicted to that series its not even funny. I remember I always had my GBA going with that game on, even in the car whenver I hit a red light I'd pull it out to see how many turns I could play before it turned green, heck that was one of the main reasons I got the GBA SP because I was sooo tired of replacing batteries for the original since I played it so much. Honestly I've logged more time on all 4 of them then I really care to think about, sometimes even if I'm playing something else I'll still have that going and whenever my turn is up I'll do something on a console game or whatever.

They need another Advance Wars out soon.

Cooking Mama:( Seriously, for me it is....Love cooking games, and this was the first time I'd ever played one that was so intricate for me ( played only flash cooking game-types prior to it ). Phoenix Wright would be my next pick.

TWEWY's story was...interesting, but the battle system got soooo repetitve - the story was the only thing that kept me going

I'd be willing to bet a hundred dollars that all the people on this thread who picked TWEWY haven't played JUS (and also have low standards for rpgs, but thats my opinion)

either Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, Warioware: Touched!, or Rhythm Tengoku Gold (aka Rhythm Heaven).

anything the warioware team makes is STRAIGHT fun and I'm a sucker for castlevania. I own the world ends with you, but I got to the 2nd half of the game and got kind of bored with it. I've still been thinkin about beatin it but I've been too busy playin my ps3 recently.
