HUGE upcoming exclusive

According to an IGN podcast a few weeks ago, one of their editors had recieved inside information that a Nintendo franchise was going to be reborn on the Wii, and hadn't been announced up until that point. While, to my knowledge it still hasn't been announced, 1up.com will be announcing their "top secret exclusive coverstory" tomorrow. We can only hope this is big news on the exclusive.

Anyone know anymore info about this?

Golden Sun

I constantly see "Revive Golden Sun!" topics in the DS forums. It would be pretty interesting, and exhilirating, if Camelot decides to stop being afraid and make another game. They said they didn't want to ruin the franchise by making another game. They're hurting it by doing the opposite, in my opinion.

Pit is the only one out of those that makes sence, because the others have recent games out.

I sadly would love a new Earthbound game...one of the better RPG IMO.

If you guys bothered to listen to the podcast, Matt said a franchise "in the past couple of generations" which means it can't be from NES or SNES gen. He also confirmed it's NOT Punch-out.

Golden Sun seems the most possible. Shame I couldn't care less....

Yeah, but it's pretty obvious that there will be a new Pikmin. It wouldn't be surprising at all. I'm kind of hoping for a new DK platformer. I haven't played either Earthbound or Kid Icarus, so if this announcement turns out to be about any of those two, I will not be hyped.

i think its going to be kirby, since we really didn't get a kirby game for the gamecube (that kirby racing game doesn't count at all), plus kirby has been kind of pushed aside for metroid, zelda and mario... and i think this is the perfect time to revive kirby, as he is in brawl...

oh and as I was writing this, could this be news on Animal Crossing?

Has to be Kid Icarus. and the main reason for that is he is in brawl, therefore not forgotten, and it is one of the only real MEMORIABLE games left that never continued to other systems.Phazevariance

I agree, imagine a full andventure game (like zelda) but using pit with his bow and arrows and his two swords, it ould be perfect for the wii

Kirby doesn't need to be revived. He's had games recently on the ds and we've alreadyheard aboutthe GC Kirby game(that never cameout)being made for the wii. And same with donkey Kong. He's had games out for both ds and wii. In the pod-cast they made it clear that this was an old franchise that was being revived.I'd put my money on Kid Icarus.... Or maybe Pilot Wings..... Or maybe Sin and Punishment.

Lol, I like the box. Never played a GS game... (I know shame on me). I woultn'd say no to a Wii rpg.

Kid Icarus would make sense. he's in brawl and the original game was released on vc, it would be natural to give him is own game. Younger gamers gonna ask about him. This is the perfect time to introduce him to the masses.
