Halo DS will never be made and I don't think many mind that it wont either. Just doesn't have that"draw" on the DS.

i just watched all 3 videos and i just hafta say. AWESOME

damn, i was just about to post this too, and then i saw this thread.

but anyway, it looks awesome even in development. too bad they stopped... i think someone needs to pick up on this and finish it! it would be extremely successful.

note the fact it looks and sounds like golden eye rouge agent on ds, look it up!CRTXP

if u had watched the video, they said its a very early build of a game that was made over a year ago.

first Rare, then Mistwalker and now Bungie. There is a growing number of xbox exclusive companies making games for the ds.

hmmm... but how are u supposed to use the duel wield thing lol? Like if it used metroid controls, and the touch screen was to look around, L was to shoot and the D pad to walk around, whats gonna be the button for the second gun... Its impossible to strafe with the touch screen AND press R at the same time, so R wouldn't be used for the second gun.... hmmmoutcasted1

The good old Thumb Stylus. I had to use it with Hunters, took a while to get used to but hey, that's something you kind of have to do with DS/Wii shooters.

Is it just me or does it seem like somethings a little off? It's titled Halo DS, which would lead one to think it's the origional Halo. Yet they played on Zanzibar, dual wielded, and used the SMG.

Also, I wonder why they quit developement? The videos might have looked old (and yes, I played Rogue Agent, and it reminded me of that), but I think the game would have sold regardless. Too bad though.

Half a year ago, it's existance wasn't even proven. I think actual videos of the game warrants a new topic.

The game would have been changed so much during development that it wouldn't be similar at all.

well, the two definitely look the same. yes, they could be using the same engine, but what if it is just a modded version Goldeneye??

and with the existence of flash carts, well, its possible that it's just a mod. similar to CS or Half-Life mods.

i couldn't forget Goldeneye cause it sucked so much.

This would indeed would have been a sucess of a fps. Probably the best one for the ds. The promo video you all pretty much haveseen looks awesome, so i'll keep it simple and sweet. The reason it isn't made and possibly never will be is because of Ms. They were in the middle of tinkering, trying to perfect it. But they had to put it down to make halo 2 and 3. By now you've all heard about bungie attempting to break from MS. But if they do, Halo DS will never be made. MS, unfortunately, owns all the patents for halo, master chief, and others. Bungie would have their pants sued off if they tried to make it after the potential breakaway from MS. So now, we have to just hope they jerks at MS come to their senses and make the halo DS come to life.

PS. I agree, I think we should so make a petition against MS(It's notbungie's fault)

Yeah, if you compare these two games, the graphics, sounds, font, and death animations are too identical. Which leads me to believe EA (major third party developer) made it.game looks pretty bland actually, boring, than again this was a beta which is probably why it didn't have that finished feel to it.
