Guitar hero - Hard

i beat easy 100% all the songs 5 stars....beat medium 100% 3/4 of the songs 5 stars........did one song on hard like impossible!!! how do you hit the orange button? curse you orange button!!pr3dator951

you have to shift your hand so that your pointer finger (yes thats what i call it...the one thats usually on green) is on red so that your pinky can get orange...it'll feel normal once you get used to shifting your hand down. a little tip is that if you see a chord consisting of yellow and orange, dont use your pinky. you'll cramp up and it'll make it more difficult to reach another note. Shift your hand so that you pointer and ring finger press Y and O (just like if you do Green and Yellow)

I got guitar hero for christmas, and i beat it on medium and have moved up to hard. But i am stuck on the 7th category, i think it is the japan one.

I can't beat, 3's and 7's (queens of a stone age), before i forget (slipknot) and the last one in that group (i forgret what it is called.)

Ya i got stuck there too. All i did was go to expert (the first few songs are pretty easy) and then come back to it after a while. It wasn't too hard then.

That's a good strategy. Playing for a while on Expert loosens up your fingers and gets you used to moving quickly. The slower pace of Hard is a lot easier when you're used to playing faster.

Thats true...good luck on Through the fires and flmaes, though. that song is murder. i just finished attempting to beat it (tried like for about half an hour) and could almost get past the begining solo. i think activision/neversoft went overboard on it, but i guess they could be forgiven because its their first time trying something like this (making 20 tony hawk games gets old, i guess). maybe (like someone mentioned earlier) neversoft will get it right and make GH4 more like playing an actual guitar rather than a random button press session.

Go to options, video, calibrate lag. It's what you do for HD TVs that lag.

My suggestion is that you save all your star power up until the point where you need it most. if you have star power and your going steady, dont use it. when your about to lose (preferably once you touch red) use it and it'll save you. Cherub Rock isnt difficult if you do this. also, its helpful if you whammy ALOT (as in moving it up and down as fast as you can (all the way)) when you have an extended star power gem. The faster you do it, the more extra star power you recieve.

I get to hard mode and I'm having the most insane difficult time with it. That stupid orange button throws me off completely. I'm still stuck on the 1st tier. :(

move your hand down so that go from GRYB, to RYBO. it should be much easier after that. hope i helped!
