I am just wondering. Mine is Ruby and Sapphire. I don't know why people hated it so much. I guess that it was because it was the first one I really got into. The others I didn't really care about.
The fist pokemon games were the best in my opinion, the rest were basically the same thing with worse stories. Pokemon stadium for N64 was great, though, maybe because it didn't really gave a story- it was all battling and minigames. Anyways, Poemon red will never be surpassed in my opinion.
I loved Crystal- the awesome new pokemon, great new areas and cities, more challenging puzzles AND you got to return to Kanto for a whole new way of playing that area! I want a DS remake!
I'd have to go with G/S/C, they are more lengthy, and you can get up to 16 badges! >:) They have a great storyline with lots of fun stuff to do, not like all the other short games :( PLEASE LET THERE BE A DS/GBA REMAKE IN THE FUTURE!!
Red and Blue for me. I caught them all, and I even won a Mew in a Toys R Us/Nintendo promortional contest. I printed out my certificate on my Game Boy Printer.
Pokemon Red and Blue version got my vote, however I have several that are close behind. Pokemon Red and Blue are classic, and generally all the Pokemon games are exactly the same as them. I have to say that I loved the game, there is no beating it. Pokemon Crystal is next, the battle tower was a nice addition, and it did change the pokemon series a little with the battle tower. Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green are next, it is a reiteration of Red and Blue, who wouldn't love that? And the wireless connectivity was added bonus. :) Now comes Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, from what I see with my copy of the Japanese version, it will be the best yet, however I am not deciding that until I get my English copy. WiFi is such a HUGE addition, you can't say it won't revolutionize pokemon...
RBY were the originals, and I loved them so much, bringing them to school, trading pokemon, filling my pokedex (that's right baby, all 150!!!). I gotta say GSC were better games though. They were much longer, they gave the pokefans exactly what they wanted, there were like 102345823 new gameplay mechanics that were all awesome (day/night ftw) and the new pokemon were AMAZINGLY awesome, unlike the RSE generation. The only downsides are that Gary is a hella better rival than the dude in GSC and there was no safari zone.
My favourite would have to be G/S/C. The day and night thing was so good and all the other extra things added. R/B/Y was good because it was the first, but GSC was all that and more. R\S\E had a few more things, but got rid of day and night which was stupid. My second favourite would be FR/LG. Enhanced original. Who wouldn't like that? And so far things are looking good for D/P. I think it may be my favourite. I didn't want to import it because it would be in Japanese and theres a lot of text...and I'll only get a game in Japanese if I really have to, like Jump utlimate stars, since that'll never be released in English. anyway DP have brang dya and night back in and the biggest thing of all...WiFi so itll most likely be the best.

I'm 19 and a freshman in college. I'm not ashamed to say that i am really excited for this game. I grew up with pokemon red version and silver version. some of the most fun/addicting games i've ever played. I didnt play ruby or the other one because they lost the touch, but i have faith in this new version that's for sure.
Definitely Pokemon Blue! me and my mates at school all imported it months before it came out in the UK and we spent most of our time at school playing it and fighting each other at lunch time. Great Memories there!
i think gold/silver was the best pokemon not only because it vastly improved red and blue but also because it had the best combination of pokemon.Also 16 BADGES who can argue with that
Fire Red/ Leaf Green. I loved the old R/B/Y games, so I loved the new updated vers of them. So I would have to say the FR/LG group is at the top of my list for game Pokemon games. And Ruby/Sapphire being a very very close second.
Crystal takes my vote. I started with Blue, and it was grood, but the sheer massiveness and newly-polished graphics of G/S/C made me love the series more.
Pokemon Red....such a fun game. That game is what brought me back to playing my Gameboy again. As far as age goes, lets just say that when Red and Blue were released I was 23....:oops:
I never spent the same amount of time on pkmn game than silver version. It seemed to have the most depth, and even though red and blue had the best starters, gold and silver had rly cool ones 2 and there was 16 (OMFG) badges
Yellow was specifilcalyl my fav. First ever i got. I played it and maxed out liek 20 pokemon to lvl 100/99 wateva the highest was. But then restarted it:( cuz i wanted to do it again. But then a newer series came out :( then i never rebeat it. and my pkmon r like lvl 20 :(
Pokemon Silver owned my soul. I played that game on a near constant basis before my GBC crapped itself out.
I've said it once and I'll say it again. The next Pokemon game could teleport chocolate coated whores into the room and I would still rate Silver higher.
