Well, sure, you can be a pessimist, but as Iwata has pointed out, the 3DS is fully-loaded right from the start, so there's really no where else to take it. My gut tells me that the 3DS will be the most stable Nintendo handheld platform to date. In fact, I'll go ahead and predict that we won't see any notable updates for at least 3-years.

I'm not being a pessimist, (I didn't even say a new 3DS model would be a bad thing) I'm merely using the past to predict the future. ;)

Which begs the question, what else would the 3DS need to have for these people to consider it worth the price?

None of the launch titles really interest me. Maybe Lego Star Wars, but that's about it.

BUT... the hardware itself greatly interests me. So I traded my Lite in on a preorder today. Can't help it... I'm excited regardless.

Either waiting for games I actually want to come out (Zelda, Mario, etc.) or waiting for some kind of a price drop.

Nintendo has said they won't consider adding 3G until they can offer it for free as they don't want to force people to pay extra to use their consoles.

i highly doubt i'll be getting it, because i've only just got a DS lite and i simply can't afford it

Im going to get one... and the reason is almost solely pilotwings. Pilotwings 64 is probably my all time favorite game. IMO pilotwings 3ds has some big shoes to fill, (not to mention it better have a rocking soundtrack like the 64 version!!) couple of thoughts/questions... can anyone remember back to the release of the ds.. did any retailers do some type of promotional bundle at release? or does anyone know any decent preorder deals? Also, what are the chances mario galaxy would ever be released on the 3ds... could its processor/graphics card even handle it?hanzpumpsYOUup

Man alot of people are planning to get it. I saw a video on it and it looks awesome.
