3DS Activity Log Review 2013 Edition

So another year has come and gone and many games have been released for the platform. Thankfully the platform has an easy way of keeping track of your activity so what where your top games? We usually have one of these every year and hadn't seen one yet so I went ahead and made one.

Dang.. that's impressive. I have MH3U on my Wii U and was planning on picking it up on 3DS but I never really got the hang of the game so I passed on getting it for 3DS. I barely played an hour or two and just couldn't get it and since I had a huge backlog I just moved on and never went back. I'm gonna give it another try soon but I need to find some time since it seems like a game you need to dedicate time to "get"

That's definitely true. I got Tri on the Wii, played around 40 hours, still didn't really get it. I'm not sure what happened, but I got MH3U on WiiU and "got it" pretty much right away. I think once you accumulate enough knowledge of how the game works and what type of game it really is, it all becomes much more streamlined, and each play session is tightly goal-oriented.

But I don't have MH3U on my 3DS. Here are my stats:

Yeah, you could say the biggest flaw in Monster Hunter games is the large learning curve. It's definitely not something anyone can pick up and play from the get-go. As Jordan said, once you figure out how most stuff work, the game becomes streamlined, incredibly addictive and rewarding. Take advantage of the Wii U version's online multiplayer! Veterans in that community may be nice enough to give you a helping hand. :)
