I have a copy of The Neverhood with box and manual and disk in practically mint condition. I love that game, though, only adventure game I've ever enjoyed, so I'll never end up selling it xD.

I also discovered that my copy of Star Trek Armada II with manual commands a price of over $90. That was a pleasant shock to me considering I haven't played that game since 2002 or something.

Oh, and the Half-Life 1 Anthology, which I think goes from $50 to $70 online, I managed to find for about $15 at a Half-Price Books. Can't resell though, so not that impressive (and a glitch-fest to boot).

Then I have Final Fantasy VII, with no manual, and I'll most likely not sell that. Not sure what my old N64 carts sell for - the nostalgia on those practically bans me from trying to sell them anyway, and none of them are particularly elusive.

Somewhere in my house I have a disc copy of Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 for PS2. Apparently those are sort of rare

BPoole96
I heard that too, I'll do some investigating though so I can find out how much mine is worth lol
#153 Posted by CarefreeCat (20 posts) -
Either Chrono Trigger or Secret of Mana, both for SNES.
#154 Posted by Stinger78 (5826 posts) -
As others have mentioned, the Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition for GameCube - a "PROMOTIONAL DISC - INCLUDES 4 CLASSIC GAMES!" - which was only available in a system bundle and/or with a subscription to Nintendo Power magazine (which is how I got mine) rather than having a retail release. The bottom of the case insert even says NOT FOR RESALE.
#155 Posted by Daavpuke (13769 posts) -
I think my recently aquired complete version of Battle For Olympus might thwart any other game I might have owned. Although I heard Futurama for Xbox was quite rare, which I'd find odd.
#156 Posted by wrigleyfan (49 posts) -

My rarest game is the Dead Space Ultra Limited Edition it is (281/1000). It was only released on the EA website. It would only be sent to a U.S. mail box. The last time I saw it sold on ebay it went for $785. http://www.amazon.com/Dead-Space-Ultra-Limited-Pieces/dp/B001J1V41S

#157 Posted by Aidenfury19 (2488 posts) -

Jack Bros. for VBOY is probably my rarest. Well that of Demons Crest for SNES, which I understand had a very limited production run, although for whatever reason I haven't had a tough time finding it.

i don't deal in games anymore, just systems(mainly pongs) but i still have most of my neo geo collection.some of the games are getting up there.

#160 Posted by Mike0698 (137 posts) -

Hmm, I think my rarest copy is the Legend Of Zelda: Oracle of Ages game for the Gameboy Color. Could you imagine if they remade it for the Wii :D?Jerell_rast

I have that game, got it for like 7 bucks on amazon, that was when i was zelda upssessed.

#161 Posted by kayoticdreamz (3347 posts) -

prolly phantasy star on the GC all of them. freakin buggers go for 60 bucks each currently if not higher. God only knows why i have them i sure dont. lost kingdoms prolly is a hard find. eternal darkness prolly is a hard find. im sure i have a few other odd rare out there games. oh and i know metal arms glitch in the system is rare it only sold like 40 000 copies through 3 systems....thats prolly the rarest game i have come to think of it. i tend to like games that sell like crap lol i must be OCD cause then i get mad they dont get sequels.

though who knows because i cant remeber what NES games i have genesis games i have and N64 games. and i really i cant say i fully recall my collection off the top of my head so i probably have a few rare games.

i have an atari jaguar if that counts for anything lol

honestly its only been the past year or so ive completely taken a stance against selling games where as before i used to trade in stuff alot but not anymore so its made it harder to remeber what i have exactly lol.

and i a fat old original DS im sure im one the few with one of those but that isnt a legacy system just yet.

Probably a copy of Pokemon Silver that still saves.
#163 Posted by Devil-Itachi (4370 posts) -
I have no idea. I do have a few of the games others are listing but don't really consider them rare.

Well, that's what I mentioned in my first post, that basically any game not sold in a retail store could be considered "rare". If you can't walk into a store and find it, then it's considered "hard to find" - even if it's something like Mario Kart 64 which was one of those million-seller games - so it sold a million copies PLUS all the copies of the game that had the little gold million seller logo on the cartridge and box.
#165 Posted by mreric333 (37 posts) -

Well, to my my collection includes (Rare to me) Re4 (Exclusive to GC version) Re2 for 'Cube, Timesplitters 2 & Future prefect (cube), Phantasy stat onlien 1 2 and then 3 for gamecube, as well as some nintendo esclusives (metroid, zeldas mario games) and to top off my collection I have both megaman collections for gamecube. And then some gameboy games too.

Super Smash Bros.

Conker's Bad Fur Day

Turok 2

Goldeneye 007

#171 Posted by TabJSR (163 posts) -

That would probably be: The Misadventures of Tron Bonne for the Sony PlayStation. It doesn't have the originally packaged: Mega Man Legends 2 Demo Disc with it, but the game itself is worth well over a hundred dollars by itself. Other rare games include: Ico, Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes for Xbox, Kururin Paradise, Knights in the Nightmare for the Nintendo DS, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Endless Ocean, Dobutsu No Mori, and Conker's Bad Fur Day.

#172 Posted by Nymphonomicon (130 posts) -
My rarest game is probably either Top Shop (I'm willing to bet none of you has ever heard of it)... or one of my Altus games. I seem to recall hearing before that Altus produces games in lower quantity for US release- so that would make them rarer by default.

I guess my copy of the original Persona for the PSP. The case has a slight crack on it and the manual is in below average condition (although complete and stapled together), but the discs are cool enough.

My rarest game that i still have is: Pepsiman!

:D

#175 Posted by DanDaRuff (120 posts) -

Did all copies of majoras mask have golden cartriges?

Because if not, then that would be my rarest game.

I got it from a yardsale once and it works perfectly, though now I have the game on my wii.

Also, the place where it was supposed to have a sticker instead has a cool glossy animation screen.

#176 Posted by Debus42 (120 posts) -

According to Ebay;

Legend of Dragoon

Star Ocean The Second Story

Persona 3

Shadow Hearts & Shadow Hearts Covenant

Grandia & Grandia 2

Probably countless others, but I don't know what is and isn't rare without looking them all up =/

#177 Posted by Raheria (54 posts) -

I wouldn't really call this really rare, but it's the most limited/ expensive one on ebay that I own... Harvest Moon: Back to Nature. Or maybe Little Big Adventure 2. Both very sentimental and nostalgic for me. :)

Wow, my gym teacher in grade school brought that in and let us play it.

Are you sure it was Stadium Events and not World Class Track Meet? World Class Track Meet comes on a cart with Super Mario Bros and Duck Hunt, and as such is very common. If you're 100% sure it was Stadium Events ... what is your gym teachers name and address? lol
#188 Posted by kamikaze_pigmy (8362 posts) -
I have no idea. I don't have a lot of rare games, I don't think.

Yeah, I'm sure, though I'd have no idea where my grade school gym teacher would be, lol.

Here's a pic of my Majora's Mask I decided to upload, its sat on my shelf being guarded by my Big Daddy lol, you can see that its still sealed because you can see me in the reflection :P

I wish I could open it ^^

VICOUS_VERN
How sad. I don't care how rare or unused people think my games are - I collect and keep them in mint condition, but still unseal a box to play it. I take pride in owning and actually USING my games for their purpose... to play! For all you know you could have Barbie's Horse Adventure in there! The only point in doing it is for it to collect value to sell on. I think that people who never use things and forever keep them in boxes are not only a bit tragic but they're also depriving the world of its awesomeness.
#197 Posted by Emerald_Warrior (6581 posts) -

According to the site linked (RacketBoy) a couple posts up, these are my rare gems: Gameboy: -Metroid II: The Return of Samus -The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX Edition N64: -Paper Mario Gamecube: -The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess I also did have Nights Into Dreams for the Sega Saturn, but I was very disappointed with it and traded it in after about 2 weeks of owning it. I'm surpised at the results. I have a lot more Sega games than Nintendo games. And I have the most games on a single system on my PS2, and PS1 following close behind. I just happen to really, really like Zelda, Mario, and Metroid games.Emerald_Warrior

I have since acquired this bad boy which I think I can safely say is more rare:

Wonder Wizard

It's the Wonder Wizard, a Pong Console from the 70s. All it plays is a few different variations of Pong. And those controllers do deattach from the console, they have those old curly phone cords on them, lol.

#199 Posted by ultramega9 (178 posts) -
