It either be Mario Kart 8 or Super Mario 3D World if I ever got a chance to play them, I never got a chance to own one single Mario video game.

You could get a job of some kind and find inexpensive Mario titles on eBay or the Wii U virtual console. I believe everyone who plays video games should play at least one core Mario game. They set standards for platformers. I recommend Super Mario All-Stars(including Super Mario World) and Super Mario 64 because they are standards for excellence in the video game industry and (of course) I played them extensively. Also, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy are great. I still need to beat them.

Galaxy. Such an amazing game with great levels and fun power ups. I don't think I could ever stop loving it.

Yes it is the game last gen that truly lives up to the hype and critical acclaim it recieved. I am still yet to finish the second--I decided to save it for a later date but I did start it(but will restart it)--but I will say that I think the original has the better atmosphere.

This right here is my favorite mario game. The story is full of humor and suspense, and there are so many secrets and places to explore. The mario twist on rpg gameplay is great. For me, the mario games that stray from the traditional mario platforming are my favorite.

Well, this might be a weird answer, but I'd go with Mario Kart Wii. Never cared for all the platformers, nor do I have any nostalgic connection to old Mario games, aside from Mario Kart 64. Hell, I never even finished Super Mario Galaxy or even played the second one. I'd love to eventually have a Wii U, mainly to play Mario Kart 8. But other than Mario Kart and maybe some other Mario games, I don't have any real interest in Nintendo anymore.

I would have said Super Mario 64, but once Super Mario Galaxy entered my life back in 2007, that changed quick. It's the best Mario game I've seen and played to date...has everything I looked for in a Mario title and so much more.

I usually play all kinds of mario games and I love playing mario kart.. its fun and addictive....

Oh yes, definitely! I was very passionate about Mario Kart DS a couple years back. Used to play it at every chance I got, on trains, buses, planes or during sex. If ever there was a spare moment, I'd open that baby up and twiddle away.

And between you, me and this forum of Nintendo-bashers, I have half a mind to buy a wii-u for Mario Kart 8 alone.
