Haven't been this excited about a Nintendo console since the N-64.:D

That 2d Mario shown on the first page looks nice and crisp!

I have so many generations of Zelda, and Mario, and even Metroid to catch up on. (and everything from the Wii era)

I'm looking forward to their main show even more now, since it's going to be all about the games. And I'm sure they'll have some nice 3DS related announcements. Though, I kind of expect they'll have a post-E3 Nintendo Direct to focus on 3DS news.

So I take it 1080p was neither confirmed nor denied today? Really hope we can get an answer on that Tuesday. If Wii U games are running at a native 1080p, with a solid 30fps, and maybe x4 AA...it's a day 1 purchase for me.

For the console I think its comfirmed, for the touch screen I dont really know.

I have say btw, my favorite feature of the controller so far besides the clickable anolog sticks (yes!) is the fact that its also a TV remote! I can see myself making use of that feature alot. And that reminds me, isnt the 3DS capable of doing infired stuff too just like the Wii U's controller? Do you think they'll give the 3DS a firmware update which will allow it to act as a tv remote?

That 2D Mario picture on the first page is just artwork from New Super Mario Bros. Wii. It's a placeholder until official art and screens are released for the new one.

Even if the 3DS was capable of doing it, I imagine that they would want this to be a Wii U exclusive feature.

Yeah I guess your right, exclusive features are always nice.

I hope Capcom announce Resident Evil 6 for the Wii U. I know for fact they will delay the PC version and I don't want to rebuy another current gen console for one game. I'm not wanting to have to avoid spoilers for months :(

I just finished watching EA's one. It was rather boring to me :? Only thing that caught my interest was Need for Speed: Most Wanted and Sim City.

Yea, First game we are gonna play together is Mario 64 (my gf never got to play it) I am sure it will be on the WiiU VC.

If that 2D mario on the WiiU looks as good as that picture, it will be great.

The controler looked like a 360's (the buttons were colored I think), but I don't think it was an exclusive, cus lets face it, if it was it would have been shown off at Microsofts presconference. imo. I hope it's for the Wii U.

So it was either using the Wii U Pro Controller (To me it looked like the Wii U Pro Controller based on what I saw I didn't see any colored buttons) or it could be the 360 controller played on PC.

It has to be PC, Wii U, NeXbox, or PS4.

Edit* I guess I was wrong because Joystick says that Ubisoft's website confirms it is 360, PS3, and PC.

But I still hope they announce it for the Wii U because it looked great.

The best conference so far today was probably Ubi's with their demo of Rayman Legends on Wii U, their Watch Dogs demo was also pretty neat. And I hope the new Need for Speed that EA showed (which looks a LOT like Burnout Paradise) comes to Wii U.

Killer Freaks has changed to Zombi U now, with no sign of the little green aliens. And it seems likely that Nintendo's Pre E3 Presentation might have been our first sneak peek of the game.

For a second there it did look like they were playing it on a Wii U Pro Controller, and the gameplay mechanics look like they would translate well to the Wii U.

Here are some of my predictions for Nintendo's Conference:(I'm not expecting any of this to come true)

- 2D Mario is a launch day title
- It's final name is New Super Mario World
- More details about Nintendo Network, Miiverse and Wii U's digital store
- HD GameCube titles shown for the Wii U's VC
- Luigi's Mansion, Metroid Prime, Super Mario Sunshine and Wind Waker shown as HD VC titles available at or near launch

- Wii U's achievement system is an evolution of 3DS's 'Play Coins'
- A Mii new game announced that is based on the tech demos shown last year
- A new IP from Miyamoto shown / teased
- Iwata drops the bomb / announces something big

I doubt any of my predictions come true, but I thought it would be fun to make some anyway.

I should have the OP updated soon, and then I'll head to bed to get some rest before Nintendo's event.

I hope they show Monolith Soft's new game the team that made Xenoblade Chronicles should of been working on it since June of 2010 so 2 years already.

I would love a new F-Zero, but Im not sure if we'll see it.

That was... awful.

Blah. The show went right down the drain after Mario and Pikmin. I cannot believe they didn't attempt to appeal to the core gamer a bit more. They said they would, yet it feels just like the Wii.

Needless to say, Sony stole the show so far.
