whats was then story in gtasa about ?Both GTASA and RDR had horrible stories. They were very well made games, but suffered from god awful writing and padding beyond anything tolerable.

Horrible? I'm not sure about that, but they do make the same game over and over again, for the most part.
i liked smugglers run, max payne, and state of emergency but hated GTA4, it took all the fun out of the series, it might as well been the sims with guns.
HORRIBLE? not in my opinion.
But I hated GTA after Vice City.
REDEMPTION for me though WAS AMAZING, LOVED IT!
Look up "State of Emergency", "Max Payne" and "Oni". Beyond Horrible they all were.nini200i liked state of emergency and max payne. never played oni
Yet San Andreas still had the best story in the series by a mile. What does that say for the rest of the stories in GTA games? Personally I disagree though. San Andreas is one of the few game stories I somewhat paid attention to. Maybe I'm not the greatest judge for this though. I'm pretty old fashioned and still consider the purpose of story in video games is simply to give the player vague reasoning for doing a level and vague reasoning for having great gameplay. Sure, the story in SA had padding. But really, I don't need the story to give a legitimate reason for having such awesome missions that San Andreas had. Both GTASA and RDR had horrible stories. They were very well made games, but suffered from god awful writing and padding beyond anything tolerable.
