Games people liked....but you didn't.

Sonic CD.

I don't get why people like it. The level design is awful!

The game on a whole pales in comparison to the Genesis Sonic games.

Metroid Prime series. Sorry - it's just not doing it for me. And it never did.

Oblivion. I liked Morrowind but not this. The third person looks just retarded. It was acceptable for Morrowind, but Oblivion just came out! (kinda)

I have to chime in and say the Grand Theft Auto series. GTA III had a novelty factor of about one day for me and then that was it. I tried a few times to get into it, but couldn't. Plus, some missions were overly hard for me. The same held true for Vice City and I never really bothered with GTA after that.

All the Halo's, The God of War series, final fantasy 12 they changed way to much stuff

Wow, I could write pages and pages, but here's a few:

Doom: I really tried to like this game back when it came out, but I found it to be simultaneously boring and frustrating.

Tomb Raider: I hated the controls, and, once again, I found it to be boring. Remember, this game was released about a month after super mario 64, so compare the two side-by-side and tomb raider looks even more like a pile of garbage.

Resident Evil 1-3: I hated the camera perspective and the controls were terrible. Thankfully, RE4 fixed everything that sucked about the previous games.

Banjo Kazooie: The whole game was just a lame scavenger hunt in finding a bunch of stupid musical notes and puzzle pieces. BORING!

I couldn't get into any of the Grand Theft Auto games. I couldn't and still don't see how they are so great.

Most overrated gaming franchise of all time imo.

Animal Crossing. Very large waste of time, IMO. I compare it to The Sims--both games you're doing something you should be doing in real life.

I don't know about you guys, but I'd rather play a  game where I can experience something I wouldn't normally be able to experience...

Every Nintendo franchise and MMORPG ever, and Bioware games since they moved to the lucrative realm of console gaming [Jade Empire, KOTOR, etc....pathetic and disappointing]. And Dynasty Warriors since they apparently make enough to put out endless sequels.

Personally, I don't understand why everyone loathes the GTA games and MGS series so much. The GTA games have humour and social commentary lacking in most other series. Allergic to fun? As for Metal Gear, it's at least unintentionally amusing with its whacky plotting and pretentious dialogue.

I also note that a lot of the choices are made based on "a lot of stupid people like x, therefore I don't like x". Not a particularly sound basis for any belief.

I think the Halo series are overrrated I mean yeah i know there good but what's the bid deal??

pokemon games after crystal. the series was just too simple, especially when i started playing a bunch of other rpgs and then tried to go back to pokemon. I enjoyed red/blue/yellow and silver/gold/crystal because at the time i rarely played rpgs.

Guitar Hero 3.... once you unlock every song, it gets boring QUICK!!! (bought and returned in about a week) and Halo... I just don't see why everyone likes this game!!!

Final Fantasy 10: I just didn't like it, and i generally like most Final Fantasy games.

Also, i really didn't like God of War 2, although i liked the first one.

I would have to agree on all three platforms, Your just Need to play one of the popular titles. Final Fanstasy series, Halo series, Mario Series, Zelda series, GTA series, God or War series, Street fighter series, Gears of War series, Star fox series, Resident evil series, Motor storm series, Mortal kombat series, Racket and Clank series, Castlevania series, Tom clancy series, Metroid etc. Any of the major titles are fun the first time. But after too many sequels Then you see that, They developer have/are running out of New ideas. All popular games are overrated to some degree. Playing one the first time is great but maybe after It becomes a series....

Maybe just pick your favorite of a series?. Any game that is popular will be seen as overrated by someone. and sequelled to death?

legend of Zelda, sorry to all fans but i just cant seem to get into it.

Resident Evil 4 (or any Resident Evil game for that matter) - Bad controls, unintuitive gameplay, generally dark and dreary color palette. I don't understand the appeal.

Any Sports game (except for Wii Sports) - Those games are all made strictly for fans of sports. I am not a fan.

Dark Cloud 2, Okami, and Gears of war

While playing Dark Cloud 2, I realized i didnt like dungeon crawlers

Okami I couldnt get into and found it boring.

Gears of war was ok, just found it a liitle boring but idk why.

oh i also didnt like donkey kong country and super mario RPG.
