Kingdom Hearts 1--I had high hopes for this game based on what I had heard, but just ended up hating it. It just seemed to rely soley on nostaglia. I did like the second one though. I had a battle with myself when I bought that one, because of the first one.
Final Fantasy X-- It just seemed to just be lacking something that the previous ones had. I wasn't surprised by the end, and never even bought the fact that Tidus and Yuna were supposed to be in love. And that kissing scene? Does it get any cheesier than that? It just left me dissapointed.
Guitar Hero - The majority of people who play it think they're hot .. stuff, but when it comes to real guitar it's like WAT I CANT DO DIZ WAT DA MATAH W/U. IM TELN MAWMI WAAAAAAA. haw.
Final Fantasy VII - DEAR GOD somebody burn this game in a fire. I can't even begin on my bashing for this game, so I'll just let you think the worst things possible, that's how I feel about this.
psychonauts (i don't get it. what's great about this?)
beyond good and evil (haven't been able to get into it. maybe this will change, but..)
GTA IV (hyped too much. why did it get so much praise? its format is identical to the others)
guitar hero (eh... not everyone likes rock music)
Zelda: TP (i got bored..it just wasn't that fun or interesting)
I know I'm expecting this, but I'm pretty pissed at all these great games not being liked by people. :( I feel like an idiot now.
But on topic I enjoyed GTA games, but they definantly aren't the best. They were fun at times, but they were also quite boring. Can't think of any other games. :D
KOTOR, so far. It's like an offline MMO, and where's the fun in that?
Half-Life. It may have been revolutionary in 1998, but in 2008 it's embarassingly bad.
Sonic the Hedgehog 1-3. I'm probably alone in preferring the Sonic Adventure series to the originals.
Final Fantasy games. Never played one I liked.
ALL FPS (including Metroid Prime) games, all FF games (saga never ends) and ZELDA 3D games. GTA games unplayed.
My votes for games i disliked in medium term:
Devil May Cry 3 (repetitive and hard as steel)
God of War 2 (sold before finish it)
Vagrant Story: a great disappointment, the strong point were just graphics and audio!
THPS2: tricks and repetive play
Syphon Filter (unexisting story, a bad and i repeat bad MGS clone)
hurriflash
Wow, what games do you like...
Tekken series
Final fantasy series
Metal Gear Solid series
Guitar Hero (just feels like DDR for people who are to lazy to move around)
Zelda Wind Waker/Phantom Hourglass
and finally
ANY 3D METROID GAME, the fps metroid games might just be my least favorite games ever.
Halo series:
The first was decent, but not even close to being the best FPS ever made. And 2&3? Those were just plain crap.
Jet Force Gemini:
Seriously, a broken third person shooter where you have to save teddy bear-like creatures from giant ants? With a horrible 1930's scifi movie soundtrack? And it got good reviews!? My god...
Deus Ex:
I'll admit, it had a fantastic storyline. The gameplay however was just too... boring...
every Need for Speed since Underground (except Prostreet... yes I said Prostreet):
The Need for Speed series used to be an excellent collection of arcade racers that allowed you to drive beautiful sports cars in exotic locations with the cops hot on your tail. Then EA made the horrific decision to turn the series into nothing but a Fast and the Furious rice-burner Pimp My Ride inspired peice of crap.
Any RPG game with turn based combat or one in which you have to navigate thousands of commands to talk to someone or one which has 134200 stats and 56478 upgrade options. I mean - why so complex? what do you get by playing this?64316431
agree. That's why I like Oblivion, it's simple, yet very fun. Getting stats up in a video game is repetitive as well as useless.
Not counting tons or recent games like Smash Brothers and Gear of War, as far as slightly older games go the first ones that spring to mind are the Power Stone games and Final Fantasy VIII. Although both these games are popular online I have yet to meet anybody offline that doesn't also dislike these games. To each his own I suppose... Lord_Daemon
Power stone was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! I personally dont like the GT series.
Yeah, this may very well be one of many topics, but whatever.
For me, I just couldn't get into Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. Sure, the combat was decent, but the ridiculous plot twist at the end pretty much made the game disappointing.
Also, Dark Cloud 1. Clunky combat, boring, cardboard characters, a rather weak storyline and the freaking WATER SYSTEM. Thankfully, Dark Cloud 2 is a MAJOR improvement. :)
*Raises flame shield* FF8. I just couldn't get into it for some reason. :/
Halo 2. The immense hype just killed off my will to play it. *shrug*
Cold Fear. I just couldn't get into it.

FF8 is one of the worst RPGS I've ever played, just terrible.
Also I couldn't get into the GTA series or Metal Gear.
Gears of War, and the cutscenes in Ocarina of Time are insufferable.
This coming from the guy who made a guide for the Water Temple.
Off the top of my head, I'd have to go with Knights of the Old Republic. Don't get me wrong, I was pretty fascinated by the idea of an open-ended Star Wars RPG, but the combat was mainly.."Wait, what?" to me. I didn't really understand the whole pausing-the-game-to-map-out-moves idea behind the combat system. Maybe the problem was that I just rented and didn't give myself enough time to adjust to a unique combat system. I was too used to killing **** in Halo and Max Payne. :D
Then there's basically every Final Fantasy game besides FFX (call me a sell-out), they're all just way too slow if you ask me. I guess I'm not too big on most turn-based RPG's at all. Well, I learned something about myself today.

I also didn't think that Kotor was that amazing. I enjoyed the game overall, but the combat didn't seem like some amazing new thing to me. It seemed like a D&D game except that you could make a lightsaber. Still fun, but not some kind of revolutionary, legendary game that it seems to be ranked as.Â
