i'm replaying warcraft II now and i'm liking it now its like my sister with harry potter she didn't like it but now she loves it.
Final Fantasy 12....gambit system, not my cup of teayentar480
I saw it as the game's means of getting the gameplay out of the way so it could shove its self absorbed story down my throat.

I saw it all the way through. It gets good near the end, but that leaves the question of "WHY THE HELL COULDN'T THE REST OF THIS GAME BE SO F'ING AWESOME!?!?!?!?!!?"
ICO
It's actually one of the best looking adventure games i've ever seen, but also the most boring ones. I forced myself to like it, but i simply can't. Don't get me wrong, i actually like adventure games. Ahh...the good old times of Grim Fandango and Monkey island. I loved Syberia, the logest journey, and many other PC adventures, but ICO...it's VERY boring!
MGS2
Well...i don't like the stealth genre, and...i didn't like MGS aswell. The only stealth game i ever liked was ManHunt.
I'm an indie gamer [my faves are Psychonauts/Odin sphere, for instance], and I HATEHATEHATE overhyped games:
-Gears of War
-Halo series [especially the most recent one; dear god, the merchandising...]
-God of War[ the killing gets ooold]
-World of Warcraft [I'm a WoW!orphan because of it.]
-GTA [same formula: kill people. avoid police. lather, rinse, repeat.]
Star Ocean 3... bored me. So did the forty-something shooting games that pollute the shelves of gamestores nationwide.
But, because of all of these games, pieces of art were unrecognized.
And that makes me horribly angry.
EDIT: Any person who mentions FF7 in my presence as 'a great game' with a 'great story' will be decapitated.
Same goes for 'I wuv Cloud/Vincent/Sephiroth'.
Uggh. I HATE FF7, mainly due to its retarded fanbase.

Like me with Halo and Gears!
Like I said before, let the Halo bashing commence. I hated Ocarina of Time. Wort game ever to me.monkeytoes61why?
CoD 4: I dont understand what people see in this game, it was boring to me. Maybe its just because ive never been a big fan of console shooters, and played it on the 360
Zelda TP: Linear, long, boring, and so very easy
Three mainstream titles come to mind: The Sims, Rollercoaster Tycoon, and Myst series - for lame gamers, indeed.
Lets see;
Halo 2+3
Kingdom Hearts
Elder Scrolls 4
command and conquer
World of Warcraft
Supreme Commander
Lord of the rings online
Eve online
Devil may cry 1-3
I could go on..
Goldeneye (yeah, and you thought Halo bashing was bad) was just another game to me. I rented it, and loathed everyone asking me why I didn't own it. On the flip side, I was the one constantly hyping people up for SSB...which I bought at launch.
Metal Gear Solid was ok, but i preferred Syphon Filter. I think i just liked shooting down helicopters or something.
SirSpudly
Syphon Filter 2 was one of my favourite games at the time.
Ghost Recon and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter.
I love most Clancy games, especially the Splinter Cell franchise, but I just couldn't get into GR or GRAW
In all fairness, I only played the original Ghost Recon and GRAW, not the sequels. But then again, the first ones didn't give me reason to play the sequels. Maybe the PS2 version of the original GR was the reason I didn't care for it, but I played the Xbox360 version of GRAW so there's no excuse there.
The multiplayer was supposed to be the draw but I honestly thought it was more or less the same as SOCOM. You can nitpick me on that point but let me put it this way- I already owned SOCOM by the time GR came out on the consoles and I couldn't find enough substantial differences to warrant paying for both. As for single player I thought GR just plain sucked. Over acted voice overs, bugs, clunky controls, blech. SOCOM's voice command may have been flawed, but it was novel.
Obviously I'm not in the mainstream with this opinion, but there it is.
Final Fantasy series. From FFVII onwards I couldn't take any of them seriously at all.
Resident Evil series. Piss weak examples of horror games.
God of War series. Absolutely braindead gameplay. If evolution is true, this is certainly not evidence of it.
Guitar Hero series. I don't hate the games really, just the music and the fans.
Prince of Persia series. Painfully ordinary.
Devil May Cry series. I liked the first one. The second one was a disappointment, but by the third is just got so sick of the whole thing.
Hitman series. By now I'm sure you recognise my hatred for glorified anti-heroes in third person shooters or hack and slashers.
Particular games I tend not to hate so much since they basically come and go I usually forget about them.
Silent Hill 3 is not scary and the controls suck. I don't get what scares people in this game. Does it tap into some kind of universal fear of being stuck in a long, boring corridor while stupid little monsters nip at your heels? Or is it about some sort of fear that although you think you're a normal teenage girl, you'll one day find out that you are really an obnoxious twit whose secret destiny is to annoy everyone around you? Are hooded people who spout nonsense about bringing evil babies into the world scary? Where is the psychological horror that supposedly exists in this game?
God of War is a just a watered-down copy of much better action games (mostly Devil May Cry 1, which was itself a really cheesy and dated game at the time that GOW copied it. Also, why did GOW copy the bad camera angles too? Inexcusable.) BTW, Kratos does not look cool - he looks silly in his long slit-skirt. GOW is mediocre, not great.
I personally found Half-Life 2 and Lord of the Rings Online very boring.
I thought Halo 2 & 3 were great games, but the marketing campaigns around them were so alienating. >_>
Gears of War also had its moments, but I HATED multiplayer, mostly because I just got shotgunned whenever I moved. *_* Unless I played with my nOOb friends. That was fun.
Final fantasy 12 for the simple fact it had level grinding, the voices were badly compressed, and had honestly put me to sleep after an hour or 2.
Any need for speed game after hot pursuit 2. They all started having framerates in the low 20s on consoles, and became nearly impossible to play. Even most wanted, had a great concept, but the framerate ruined it. Especially on the 360 ones.
Halo: The first one was good, but none of the Halo games really did anything special for me. They were all cardboard cut-out first-person shooter titles.
God of War: Too repetitive for my liking.
Ninja Gaiden: While I do enjoy playing Ninja Gaiden from time to time, the difficulty is stupid. Way, way too hard. Also, Ninja Gaiden did manage to get pretty repetitive.
Resident Evil 4: I want my old-school Resident Evil games with real zombies and (sometimes) bad camera angles. They called that game (great in its own right, just not as part of one of gaming's best franchises) a Resident Evil game?
Chrono Cross: I didn't by any means hate Chrono Criss (I didn't even dislike Chrono Cross; quite the contrary, I kind of enjoyed Chrono Cross), but I didn't understand why it was so good to other people. It didn't live up to some of Squaresoft's better titles of that era.
jalexbrown
They called it RE4 for they were sure to realize much money attaching this title than one more, and however don't forget there is Leon Kennedy, already known in RE2. At the end it is a RE as others are in franchise.
ALL FPS (including Metroid Prime) games, all FF games (saga never ends) and ZELDA 3D games. GTA games unplayed.
My votes for games i disliked in medium term:
Devil May Cry 3 (repetitive and hard as steel)
God of War 2 (sold before finish it)
Vagrant Story: a great disappointment, the strong point were just graphics and audio!
THPS2: tricks and repetive play
Syphon Filter (unexisting story, a bad and i repeat bad MGS clone)
