I just got it, it started immediately after the white page glitch. I'm guessing it's just temporary as part of the fix of said glitch, but it's worth mentioning anyway. EDIT: It also appears to be union-exclusive, of course.
Yeah, I was about to post the same thing. Usually when I make a post, I go straight to the same page that post was on. Now, I go directly to the top of the first page...

Yep, I'm having this problem on all of the forums. I click the link to view all posts since I last viewed the thread, and it goes to page one. When I make a new post, it also goes to page one.

I want to thank the people working on the fix for the glitch. While the bugs aren't completely gone, posting today is much smoother than yesterday, so I myself greatly appreciate that. And just as the others have done to help out, I will notify I too have been getting sent to page 1 of a thread after a post, however unlike before the post I make is finally counted towards my total posts.
However, the posts made before thisissue arosehave not been added to my total post count (the posts I made in unions while under the HTTP error glitch). I'd like to point that out in case you're working on a fix for that. Again, thanks for working on the bug, I will continue to be patient and like everyone else, add in if anything is found out about the bug. :)

TBH, I don't see how ANY technician can fix that second request of yours unless they manually start counting the number of posts each user made from the day the glitch started to the day the glitch stopped working.

It will happen in ALL threads made before GS changed the urls sometime yesterday. A new thread fixes this problem. so basically we're supposed to throw away old threads and start new ones to fix it? waiting for confirmation before i dispose of half of the union's stickies :P

Not really. I made a new thread after the change of URLs and still had this problem. THIS thread was made after the new URL change and it happens in this thread.
I made a thread I thought was unrelated but I guess this one is about both issues. Therefore, I'm just gonna paste its contents into this one entirely.
For some reason, whenever I go to view new posts in unions from my profile page it takes me to the top of the page. However, if I view new posts on regular boards from my profile page it's fine. If I go to view them normally it's fine for all boards, regular and unions. WTF?!
EDIT: Clicking on one of my posts from my profile page also works fine.
Yeah I noticed they changed the URL so it is more simplified and simply displays the title of the thread rather than a numbered code. Which is probably why even after Jody notified the techs why it took a little while. Well, it's great to know progress is being made. So to anyone still complaining about the bugs, remember this: in unions before this happened, union posting was almost completely broken. So baby steps, people, remember those work too. :P

Okay, so now the new posts don't work on the main boards in my message list (previously it was just unions). Neither does clicking on my own messages on the main boards. Clicking them on unions still works though.
Thank goodness I can edit my posts now but I still get sent to the first page when clicking on a page other than the first one or when submitting a post, but that glitch is no big deal to tell you the truth.

You were correct. I am sorry. I just figured out why I *thought* making a new thread would fix the problem and why you still see the problem. It ONLY works on the first page of a new thread. Once you get to page 2 the glitch is back:(
I've been getting this as well. The thing is, it's happening inconsistently...at least for me. So i've been having troubles recreating the error.chicknfeet
Get passed page 1 of any thread and you can reproduce easily.
Its not a big deal to me either when you end up on page one after making a post. Its the "Click (X New posts) hyperlink, get sent to page 1" that is annoying. Sometimes there are, say, 70 new posts on a 1000+ posts thread and I'm forced to open the latest page and backtrack my way from there since the (70 new posts) hyperlink sends me back to page one.
So when is this getting fixed? I had to originally use my last excerpt on my page because the unread version wasn't working , but now that doesn't even work.
