I get the same when trying post a comment on an article from my phone
I am having the same issues too. It has been going on a week now and I can't post comments to articles on mobile.
@davillain-: Hey pal, same here and it's been like that for almost a week. With the BS comments I been seeing, you know there was something wrong if you didn't see me ranting lol
Still not fixed
Can't post on phone, but I can post on PC, have to wait a couple of seconds after it says it's invalid though :P
Pretty pathetic that I basically hand gamespot the error on a silver platter and they do absolutely nothing with it. I could do a better job than the entire development team by myself!
If you guys are tired of gamespot ignoring it's users, help me build up the website in my sig.
Please please please can someone answer that they are are at least trying to fix this issue?
I've really slowed visiting the site as its becoming super frustrating with this not being fixed, it's well over two weeks now.
I've tried alsorts on my phone with the ad blocking. I can post with an iPad with the same FW, but I don't carry it around with me.
Gamespot this is ridiculous! I came back after a week hiatus (which hasn't happened in YEARS!) to see if you guys got your act together yet and STILL NOTHING! What is wrong with you guys?
This makes no sense at all. You're just ignoring this problem? You're pushing people away and the reason why you guys still have jobs is because of the people coming to your site.
Whoever is in charge of this should be ashamed. All your traffic has had to put up with MONTHS of nonsense with your crap change to a comment section that replicates the 90's and now there's a whole user base (mobile) that can't even participate in any discussions on articles, reviews, previews, etc.
What is the problem? I'm sure no one will want the plethora of ads you guys will no doubt impose on everyone to make up for the lack of traffic you guys will get because of your own failures!
DO SOMETHING about this! I have friends that could get your comment section running flawlessly in an hour, are you looking to hire help or something? I just don't get how this can be ignored for so long.
Same here, except it does it all the time, not sometimes...and no, I didn't have this issue before this started like the last week or so
Just started experiencing this issue today.
Noticed that you guys also changed the site so that articles load dynamically. Not cool. A lot of people open individual news articles in separate tabs for a reason, they don't want to be bombarded with crap from other unrelated articles when they Ctrl+End to the bottom of the page to see comments.
Just in case you lose all your text, refresh page doesn't help restore it, but I notice hitting back page then forward again restores it, in case you wrote a huge message and don't feel like writing it again.
I see this problem is still ongoing and no one from Gamespot is even attempting to address the comments here. Last one is over a month old lol.
@quink: Can you tell us exactly what you did when you saw the error? E.g., what page were you on, were you posting a new comment/replying, had you posted on that article before, etc. We tracked down the major cause of this last week, but I guess there are some edge cases still.
This is still happening very often. Lately, it seems to happen every time that I return to an article I have already posted on. If someone has up-voted or responded to my comment, I seem to get the invalid token error every time. No amount of refreshing the page fixes it.
It's pretty annoying because this completely destroys my ability to have a discussion with anyone, and sometimes it makes me feel like a jerk for not being able to respond after someone initially responded to my comment.
@drumjod: This is exactly what happens to me. I go to respond to someone who has replied to me and I can't submit my comment. This is really infuriating @GameSpot please sort this out.
@mesome713: It's been broken for a long time. It was broken before GameSpot web developers decided to roll out the article infini-scroll feature instead of fixing this big problem. And I'll keep complaining until it's fixed.
People don't like the infini-scrolling news articles but I'm convinced that despite all that feedback, the staff are just waiting until users tire themselves out until the complaints stop instead of removing the feature. Fine. That's a lost cause. But I'll keep at the bullhorn for this CSRF token problem until it's fixed and I'm not going to let it die.
@elheber: I cant, im locked out of that article also, i cant even like the person who replied to me, its all screwed up.
@mesome713: I clicked the like for ya...
@elheber: It's odd, I see your post on the WiiU Minecraft Article(the one about pizza with no toppings), were you trying to reply to someone?
@suicidesn0wman: Thanks, but yeah i cant, every time i try i get this error.
But it only happens after i get locked out of the article, i can like stuff before im locked out. When i get locked out i get this.
Seems to only be happening to some though, cause ive seen some people post a bunch in the same article, but i can only ever post a few times, then boom, i get locked out. It happens on every news article.
@elheber: For me it used to be if I replied first then tried to create a new comment I would get the error, though I just tested that out and did not have that problem. I do wonder, what effect would logging out and logging back in have...
Think I'll take a peek under the hood, try to make some sense of this issue...

I have been encountering this problem from time to time. I'm also having issues upvoting comments as well but hardly getting CSRF crap. I'm also having problems highlighting post in the forums as well.
