I took a break from Fallout 3 because of bugs and errors only to have bugs and errors on here while I try and help some others who are experiencing bugs and errors.  The world is coming to an end.  Bugs and errors everywhere!

Happening to me also with most of my replies. I'm not adding any HTML our double spaces. I just type text and hit the submit button and it gives me the error. If there is bad HTML involved anywhere in the process, it's not my fault. Fix your software. Now, let me hit the submit button and see if this reply works.

Ah, my last reply worked. . in IE only. I think the problem is that your new software is not Firefox friendly. I first typed the same reply above using my normal Firefox browser and it kept giving me the error. I copy and pasted the same message into IE and it posted.

This can also happen when you're trying to post photos in your post. It happened to me when I tried to post two images, and it kept giving me the error no matter what I did. Then I took out one of the images so that there was only one and it worked.

I ONLY use Firefox and never have that problem though so that can't be it.

What I've noticed with this error is that it happens if there are too many quotes in your reply. If I have a chain of four quotes, for example, the system will now automatically take out the innermost quote, but it'll spit out that error. If I submit it again, though, it goes through. (This is on Firefox 3.0.4, btw.)

I am using Firefox 3 and everything was fine until the update. Now, I get the same error message about 9/10 times. If I want to post something really important I have to open up several tabs with the same post and try each one.

I have google Chrome and I get this error all the time. This is what I do to fix it.

1) Make my message.

2) Submit

3) Error pops up. Click Submit again.

4) Succeeds with the exception that if I had special font or color it reverts back to normal.

So I am using IE now.

I'm getting that error all the time, it's really annoying. Often when I get the problem the only way to solve it is removing all punctuation from my posts, all the periods, commas, etc

I'm getting this error on every post. It is putting a non-breaking space HTML element in the HTML source.  When I remove this it fixes the problem. This error has been happening for a few weeks now and needs to be addressed.I am using FireFox 3.0.4 (see image below)

I've had the same problem since the new format launched.

  1. Errors:
    1. - Your HTML is not well-formed - no valid tags were found.

I can occasionally post if I change something in the text - like make something bold or itallic.

I also get this message...

  1. Errors:
    1. - You have encountered a forbidden .html error, and have may used one or more of the forbidden words while trying to include a link in your message. There are certain words, including '**** and '****, that we do not allow while creating links in your messages because they are a doorway into several js exploits. Unfortunately, if you should have words that have '**** in them (e.g., ****fy, ****c, etc), they will also be forbidden. We are looking to find the best solution for this problem, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Funny how it only posted after I put the second error message into the text... and it did not change anything from my original try at posting.

I am not getting the error in IE. Instead it seems to be changing the double space at the end of the sentence to a single space.

I have to go into the html editor and manually delete all the nbsp thingies and that corrects it for me. However, it is getting quite annoying. This only happens to me in my union forum though not in any other comments.

same browser, version and OS here too without any problems..on the rare occasion punctuation still plays up, but that's easy to bypass just using the html equivalent for the simple instead...I've never had any problems with non-breaking spaces (& nbsp; i.e. a space where the line is not allowed to wrap/break to the next line) either..I've even entered them on purpose before and its gone through fine :? I do however have the editor disabled as well..which probably has something to do with this not really affecting (aside from the rare and easy to fix/bypass hiccup)...even on the odd occasion that I do use the normal post window (for editing posts for instance). As an aside, it seems the edit/delete/report abuse, etc., drop down list has randomly disappeared for me...the quick quote/reply are still there though :? I can still edit posts using the manual method however so it seems the module just hasn't loaded...I'll leave it a bit, restart my browser after clearing temp files, etc., and then make a thread about it if it's still missing after all that..assuming there isn't already a thread about it that is of course..Edit: working fine now...

I continue to have this problem as well with nearly every post, however I've found all you have to do is hit enter and drop it 1 line & it accepts it every time for some reason.

using firefox 3 and if I try to make any changes in a quote, like italize that equals utter failure. Also if i try to do basic html editing, mostly for linking, since I dont like using BBcode, I get the html not well formed error. example link. Is this ever going to be fixed? EDIT notice how since the link doesnt go anywhere I dont get the your html is not well-formed error now.

Tested with both IE and Firefox and it continues to be hit and miss with me. Sometimes I can link if firefox, and sometimes I cant link regardless of what browser I am using. I've tried, IE, Firefox, Google Chrome, and AOL explorer.

This bug is starting to make it almost impossible to post. Sometimes now I have to re-write my posts two and sometimes three times in some threads. It's very frustrating to be sure.
