Justin Calvert gives us the scoop on Fable III from Microsoft's X10 event in San Francisco
It looks awsome Iove how you can go to war with other people
this is so funny when they had the split second reveiw and I thought like what the hell is this
Finally a Fable that seems to make good on its promises. Fable 1 and 2 were great but it looks like this one is gonna be the ultimate Fable game. I want it. And maybe I'll even play evil for a change.
I will get it and love it im sure, but you HAD BETTER NOT BE ABLE TO BE KICKED OUT OF POWER. that would be realistic yeah but, not my idea of fun. every time i play the game i don't want to have to deal with keeping the peaople happy, I want to kill citizens on for a half hour spree w/ out having to work my way back into power.
This looks so amazing I cannot wait to get this game home the fourth quarter cant come quick enough for me lol. So so so awesome.
Wow he made that very boring...hopefully the game wil lbe better than his impression lol
Worst Impression ever looked like he hated his job and wasnt very happy. The new fable game sounds cool but he just dragged down the new stuff and made it boring.
I just hope your kids can age in this one. I got my hopes up when they hit about 10 in Fable 2, until they stayed that way for the rest of the game.
I can tell Justin feels a bit iffy about this one... I have to agree. I'll still buy it, just because I love the Fable world, but it does seem to be getting a bit old. The new weapon system seems cool, but the whole touch thing seems a bit gimmicky. Just like most features Molyneux presents about his game, they're just that; features. Just little add-ons to the fable formula that change things up a bit, but I don't feel that most of them make the game much better.
I agree. 'You can trust me, look; I have pen.' One of the best ads. I can't wait for Fable 3, I hope it redeem itself from how Fable 2 disappointed me. But I see the changes and new things they have added looks sweet.
the bank of nikolai ad never gets old! The morfing of weps and clothing/body are gunna be awesome.
this game sounds very cool i like fable 1 and 2 the therd one is even better
extremely good ideas, maybe they will do them right finally, they had amazing ideas in fable 2, but every single one of them were executed horribly... I'm not very excited for this title, but I'm listening....
hmmm intresting
I've got a feeling...& i sincerely hope this feeling is true...that there will be a lot of things to do after you beat the main story line, compared to Fable & and Fable 2.
really the only things I was upset with from the second game was the lack of quests, and that they took out the armor system from the first game. Other than that, it was an awesome game, and this one will be too.
This is awesome!
@ ciaxhieu... That's so true... And once again, I'm going to be very disapointed... haha
Wings = awesome (actually evil = awesome). Armour = awseome Do ur kids actually grow up in this or are they still immortal? Is there more than 1 country/continent? I want answers!!!!
admit it! no matter how much people say they hate fable 2 etc... they are still going to buy fable 3 :D
so this game work with netal or just controll or both but just when ur using touch ???
The weapon attacks look sweet!
It seems awesome! I hope I can still go on adventuring when I'm King or Queen though.
the game should be larger alot larger
This looks super sweet. I gotta say my expectations lowered after fable 2 but I will def still get this
im so getting this
I am a Fable Fan, So I know I will be getting this game.
I'm not rly a Fable fanboy i must say ... But rly nice landscapes and graphics sometimes thats for sure !!
this guy talk to much i did not see a demo any ways the guy who made it said the same stuff from the other video can he stop saying hu hu bhu hu hu hu
Is that the best reporter Gamespot can get? Anyway, looking forward to the whole interaction idea of touch. Hopefully more diverse moral choices with this feature. Molyneux mentions Ico as a base for this in another interview. Although Ico was cool, the whole "touch" mechanic was annoying, in terms of trying to lead the girl in it, with mechanics like fear making guiding the girl rather frustrating at times. Very interested to see what he does. As for building up your own unique weapons to trade online sounds very fun. For an old school gamer, I hope Molyneux is back on track as I sometimes find his ideas dont translate very well. See Black and White for that.
Thank god, I got a 360 n Fable II...
@ zatetzu check out the developer diary#1. it's on gamespot and on lionhead.com as dev diary #10. there is some gameplay footage there.

@ buft Agree agree. I hope they flesh out the progression and customization a bit more this time around. Could have went a bit further with how different foods affect your physical growth. while i was watching the new dev diary they were adjusting a face and i thought that even how much you drink should affect you somehow (develop a red nose or a beer gut rather than just overall fat etc.) along the lines of say; someone that fights primarily with melee but eats alot of meat will turn out looking like a UFC fighter or a speedier fighter on another diet develops like Bruce Lee, maybe even the type of spell(s) a caster favors will affect that too. While I do like the idea of the touch concept I hope they don't have you holding EVERYONE'S hand. At least switch it up a bit animation wise and have a hand on shoulder or across the back type thing. .... and throw in some bar room brawling and pub songs! fisticuffs! not gutting the fisherman on the spinnerbox table. X)
That guy sure says "Uh" and "Um" a lot...... But anyhow, cant wait for Fable III!!!
I'm going to play Fable right now...on the x-box...not 360. Unfortunetly i have to send my 360 in, so i won't be able to play Fable 2 right now.
Q4 release of 2010...ug -.-
@zatetzu Most likely it was a demo that was termed behind "Closed Doors" which means no recording devices at all in the room. They did it for Natal-Milo demo at E3 last year. I'm dissapointed too no video of gameplay yet.
they talk and talk about the demo, however, there is no video footage of the same! what is wrong? or am i missing something?
will we be able to still keep the money/items we earned from fable 2 and have them in fable 3?
@Phantasy16: Not necessarily, The game could have been worked on some time during Fable 2.
So far it just sounds like a superficial Fable 2. Peter is just redoing Black and White over and over again. Apperance changes in Fable 2 got old fast and so will weapon changes. As far as the touch system goes....I mean their example of using the touch system to take a begger to a slaver is nothing new. We did that in Fable 2 how many times.
day one purchase love fable
If the game is out this year, thats 2 years development time, somehow i don't think the depth is going to be there for a game that took only 2 years, based on how big this game sounds. So i am assuming all these features ARE going to be there, but in shallow forms. Just my opinion, i could be completely wrong, i hope i am.
As i said before.. TOUCH!? scary.. I hope this one fixes what Fable 2 kinda broke. Not that it was all bad but it did disapoint me to a large extent.
definitely going to be a day one purchase for me, cant wait too see more on character progression
I think I set my expectations too high for the last one (or LET my expectations be set as high for me, as it were)... It's still a great franchise, and I expect I will definitely buy it. But I'm not going to be falling for the hype this year
He makes it sound so much better than the text!! But I still think the wings are kind of lame. I'm a fan so I won't think twice about getting it the first day!
Cool :)
