Defeating Mytha gives you access to the Iron Keep, one of the more challenging areas of the game, especially if you’re going in at around Level 80. We suggest you save that area for later and explore a new set of maps near Majula.
Remember the ledge where you burned the windmill? Walk to the opposite end of the ledge. There you’ll find Laddersmith Gilligan. Like all the friendly NPCs, cycle through all his conversations. Eventually he’ll decide to move to Majula. Use the bonfire fast travel to follow him to Majula, where he’ll be found next to the pit in the middle of the map.
While you can technically survive a drop into The Pit with some creativity (eg. using the Silvercat Ring, stocking up on healing items), the more sensible approach is to use Gilligan’s Laddersmithing skills. He can build you three ladders of different lengths and our video shows how you can make due with the shortest ladder. That said, the longest one is reasonably priced at 12000 souls and you will get your money’s worth.

After descending The Pit, travel to The Grave of Saints first. Your first challenge is the Invader known as Rhoy The Explorer. When the notification of his appearance shows up be ready to act fast when you reach the next hallway. Don’t let his unarmed appearance fool you; he’s actually using rings that make his armor and weapons invisible. He’s best dealt with using ranged weapons but if you prefer close quarters combat, you can thwart his forward rolls with overhead swings and thrust attacks.
