The first half of this journey is populated with more large knights who yield good (but not great) amounts of souls. They’re slow so if you prefer enemies more your size, feel free to dodge these larger ones with rolls and sprinting. Note the downward elevator ride in this video as well as the dead ends.

After you reach the next bonfire, you’ll come to No Man’s Wharf, one of the best parts early in the game to farm souls and upgrade your stats. Expect ambushes from above and inside homes. Some new foes will wait for you in some of the creepiest spots. Just be ready for anything.

You first goal is to find a bell at the other end of wharf’s U-shaped map. This will call in a ship to the dock, which will have its own share of enemies. Again, feel free to take your time in leveling up. The next boss, the Flexile Sentry will wait for you inside the ship.

The double-sided Flexile Sentry can be beaten with trusty dodge rolls, either backwards or sideways. Its threats are wide area sweep attacks and a lethal uppercut.
