Great game Great multiplayer, even with the server issues.

I'll start off by saying if your looking for an easy shooter this probably isn't the game for you. Im not a hardcore GR fan, considering the last GR game i played was for the N64. After the few videos i first saw of GRFS i was hooked. What i liked the most about the campaign was the fact you weren't a nameless solder that just did stuff for no apparent reason. There wasn't the sort of character building or attachment like on a game like uncharted but it still had something to it. Unlike most military shooters I've played, were your basically just a flouting gun. The cut-scene's showed the characters had a job to do and they were going to get it done. I just liked the fact that the characters weren't mindless killing machines. Something that most shooters are lacking.

Graphic wise there wasn't any thing special about GRFS but it got the job done, and still looked good. The character animation on the cut-scene's wasn't as advanced as a game like Uncharted. It didn't look bad but it wasn't that great ether. The guns and equipment on the other hand looked great.

The campaign was a very interesting experience, one second you'd be sneaking around and the next second you'd be in an intense firefight. It could change that fast, but you usually died if that happened. The stealth was a very important part of the game, because you were always outnumbered. This wouldn't have been as important if it weren't for the fact you died as easy as your enemy's did. So you wanted to avoid direct combat whenever possible, or at least weaken the enemy before engaging them. In some parts you could only kill a few enemy's without being detected. If this happened you could still take out 4-6 enemy's if not more with a sync shot. The sync shot was nice because you could set up your teammates (AI or Human players) to take 4 synchronized shots. even though you only marked 4 targets you could usually take out 2 more if they're close by. The hard part was figuring out which guys you needed to shoot so you didn't get detected. I found myself at times just watching for 10 minutes before i found an opening. The combat was intense but didn't usually last very long, which was a good thing because you died so easy. There was a few "oh crap" moments when a tank showed up, That wouldn't sound so bad if it weren't for the fact you had nothing that could hurt it. The best way to describe the campaign is a mix of a puzzle game and a shooter. The only bad thing about the campaign was i never felt like doing it again. It was fun but towards the end i couldn't wait until i was done with it.

The multiplayer was by far the best part of the game. Its not as fast paced as other shooters Ive played but was still intense. You die very easy so you learn not to just run up to your target. Team work is a key to wining so its usually a good idea to not go running off by yourself. Unlike most games team work helps you win and that's about it, but in this game if you complete an objective everyone on your team gets points. So even if you die a lot you still get credit. Kills aren't the main focus of a match ether, considering you usually get 75 xp for a kill and 500 xp for an objective. Your still awesome if you can get a good KTDR, but winning is better. You can't fully customize your character but there is a staggering amount of weapon combinations. The scope, muzzle, magazine, stock, gas system, under barrel, side rail, and barrel can all be customized, depending on your weapon. There are also 3 classes, an engineer, scout and riflemen. The engineer uses shot guns and PDR's (SMGs basically). He also uses UAV's and other cool stuff. The scout uses sniper rifles and SMGs. They also have optical camo so there nearly invisible, and they can deploy mines. The riflemen use rifles (obviously) and LMGs. They also carry frag grenades and can deploy ammo boxes. Unlike the other 2 classes they have stronger armor so they can take 1 or 2 extra shots, but you die so fast that Ive almost never noticed it.

The only thing people do on this game that annoys me a lot, is how people use smoke grenades. I don't understand why nobody seems to know how to use them. I'll take an objective then my teammates start throwing them onto the objective so we can't see anything. This would be ok if it weren't for the fact the enemy knows were there. The smoke grenade is used to create a wall of smoke that your enemy can't see past, so you can move without the enemy shooting at you. My other complaint is the servers. The servers work fine but every once in a while it has really bad lag. Other than that they only have miner issues that have little or no affect on game play. The only thing that constantly messes up is the death replay. I don't know the last time it worked good. You'll die then watch the replay and it'll show the guy not hitting you and you fall over dead, or it'll show something that didn't happen, but that's probably due to lag. My favorite mess up was when it showed a bullet coming out of the barrel sideways and hitting me. The good thing is it works just good enough so you can mostly tell what happened.

All and all a solid shooter just not much replay value on the campaign.
