What Happened to this game?
first let me say if you like tiger woods as a game.. get it on the consoles.. it is so much better than the pc now. with that being said it originated on the pc and i am so disapointed that the game literally hasnt changed in 3 years.
it is so outdated now i play it for 3 or 4 minutes.. then just go back to playing bioshock.
i'll be the first one to be honest here and say that to me.....gameplay is secondary to graphics. most gamers i know get upset when i tell them this for some reason. i personally dont like to think to much while playing games unless the process is made very easy (bioshock is a great example
)
sims in general on the pc through ea seem to have had no updates since 2004. maden looks the same to me, as does the nba franchise AND tiger woods.
the game is exactly the same as 07 with some menu changes and music changes. the graphics are terribly outdated now, with the power of the pc and good vid cards this is totally unacceptable to me. where is the photogameface, where is the adaptive crowd, where is the high quality water and lighting, why doesnt "field of view" do anything? for goodness sake the anouncers say the EXACT same things as they did in 07, and i'm tired of hear fehrity telling me to stay seated in a rain storm!
looking at the console versions of this game i see where ALL the time went. i would rather have had a roster update for 07 then having to buy a whole nother game that is EXACTLY the same as it's previous version.
the textures seem worse in this game to me, possibly because i can set the res to 1680 by 1050 and it shows how truly crapy they are.
i guess i just dont understand why this game was even released on the pc when there was NO effort put into making it better (i.e. the graphics) i dont know if this is really true since after about 5 minutes i just whent back to 07 which i was kind of disapointed in because of no graphical change from 06 but it seems harder to costomize your character and that their are less initial clothing choices than in 07. also where did ping go...couldnt get ping to support such a crapy game? for someone that is such a perfectionist, it is obvious to me that tiger woods didnt even look at the pc version of this game (he is known for involvment in all his projects big and small) or he would have immediatly said things like "why do i look like my bottom half is one piece?"
this game is worse than my spelling which is pretty darn bad hehe. i give it a 2 and say DO NOT BUY THIS!
