Extremely fun for all the family but it is rather short.

User Rating: 7 | The Shoot PS3
In The Shoot it takes place in Studio 101, where you play as an actor in the roles of an action hero, cowboy, zombie hunter or even an alien liberator, the main goal is to 'kill' cardboard enemies which appear around the environment you are guided through. If you shoot enough of them, get head shots and don't shoot civilians then the director will be happy. If not then you'll lose a 'take' (life) in which you have three of.

The game has a small system call 'Style shots' which allows you to use 3 different types of power-ups after making long chains of consecutive hits, these can be very helpful for when you are in a sticky situation however the 'showtime' one can be annoying to perform.

There is also a multiplayer option which has 3 modes, 'score attack' is where you both play through a normal level whilst trying to get the highest score also trick shots are shared between yourselves. The second game mode is called 'Co-Stars' and is where one of you must hit the target first etc. The final game mode is called 'Poster Pieces' and is where in each scene you must find torn poster pieces which you must put together to unlock a challenge associated with the scene. All of these modes are rather fun due to me and my friend getting rather competitive over it whilst having a blast.

The Shoot even has an online PSN leaderboard which compares your highscore to your friends and opponents.

A negative point about this game would be that it is too short, it's great while it lasts but can be completed in under 5 hours which I found rather disappointing.

Overall I would say that The Shoot is a brilliant game for the family and friends with great co-op modes, and would be even better if it was a bit longer with some more scenes.
