Poor camera angles, frustrating controls, and lack-lustre level design suffocate the game's charm and cuteness.

User Rating: 4.5 | Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz WII
I'm half way through the game, and I just can't take it anymore. The wonky motion controls, coupled with the ever-changing camera angle is enough to both sabotage your attempts, and make you want to hurl your Wii remote out the window. To add insult to injury, the over-all level design is weak and the boss fights are boring.

Given the brilliant simplicity of the game's premise, (roll an inanimate ball into a goal via manhandling the entire level) I was expecting some truly creative levels. While the possibilities are endless, Banana Blitz utterly fails to reach anywhere near its full potential.

The story is non-existent, but I wasn't expecting much. Monkeys rolling around in hamster balls collecting comically-oversized bananas needs no explanation.

The collection of 50 party games is really just shallow multi-player incorporation, though a co-op mode really wouldn't have helped this game as-is. To be honest, it's hard to feel like partying after you've been outsmarted by a gashapon.
