Good sequel to it's main Genesis sequels. But it's Dimps engine kinda butchered it.

Sonic the Hedgehog games on the classic 16-bit Genesis/MegaDrive are awesome. But for Sonic the Hedgehog 4 well almost not quite. With it's promising classic features. This game is possibly worth a buy but it has some good and bad elements so let's start with the good. The music in this game is awesome and so are the graphics, the environment is perfect and I liked on how they bring the back the classic badniks from the Sonic 1, 2 and 3. Now for the bad, this game does have some bad points, This game uses the same engine which is Dimps from the Sonic Rush games and reused it for this game. The gameplay on this looks real different to the other classic sonic trio (eg: When Sonic runs without the d-pad held down, he comes to a complete stop rather then slowing down just like in the original.) and added a homing attack to the game too. And yes, it is easy to gain way too many lives (take Casino Street act 2 for examples) which makes this game less challenging. So like I said, good Sonic game but it's worth a download.
