If it was not for lag and glitches, this game would be almost perfect.

The single player mode of this game is not as good as the first game. Although better looking and for the most part better story, it is lacking in being anything of a challenge. I had more of a challenge learning how to work the timer on my VCR then playing this single player.
Also, the voice commands are horrible... HORRIBLE! You have to have a voice of a computer, like the one from "War Games". I spent maybe all of fifteen minutes trying to get it to work right on the first try, but after about ten tries to get the game to recognize "Bravo Team" I gave up. You would have better luck getting the attention of a wall.

The multi player action of this game was fantastic! When the game first came out, but by the time that Christmas came along there was so much lag that you couldn't tell if you were playing a PS2 or an Atari. The maps were cool, they had it all, new ones like Crossroads and Guidance and all the classic Socom 1 maps. I love Frostfire! Then along came the glitches, oh and so many glitches there were. Zipper made these glitches for the kids that liked using Game Shark codes on Socom 1 and to me, it about killed the game. I can handle some lag (not alot) but glitches, that was too much, and everytime they patched one up, four more where in the place of that one. Kids would go as far as if you used "newb" weapons against them, they would glitch! Thanks Zipper, maybe next time.
